And there's the Saturday woosh... again, as predicted!

So, yes, CICO proven again. The patterns are undeniable. Even with 200g+ of daily carb intake, weight loss and all predictions were based solely on caloric burn and intake.

It takes a week or two for CICO to normalize your system, so nothing will make sense at first. Once your body behind to comply, the gains and losses are VERY predictable 👍

Yeah, I'm convinced from my little experimentation. I'm going to start doing things that will cause water retention starting tomorrow, though. I was going to wait until I hit 190, but I'm getting impatient to start. I'm under 200 and I don't care if it goes up now because I'm convinced it's just water, and maybe a little muscle which would be awesome, but not fat. So tomorrow's weigh in will be my last weekly weigh-in with the deficits listed for awhile because I'll have no idea how to predict where it'll land, except that it will go up.

Same with me, I have been eating Cheetos everyday ever since I started my caloric deficit and I still lost over 3lbs 🙌🏼😉😏

Superior energy, higher thermic effect(though very slight), more voluminous looking muscles, higher weight equals higher burn. What's not to like?

But, yes I understand some have to limit either fat or carbs to lose. High carb and fat foods are the easiest to overeat.

I'm all in when it comes to CICO. I think is it a component of all diets for weight and fat loss. My observation is that when I do more, I can eat more. Also I'm noticing that as my body composition changes from resistance training; I'm able to eat a few more calories without gaining weight...

Amen to that. I'm averaging 3400 this month while continuing to lose.

My take is that low carb's biggest impact is on compliance (for some folks). Just like IF, meal timing, cheat meals, etc. -- perhaps there are minor hormonal effects, but they're likely to be oversold, and not relevant for someone who's say 20+ lbs overweight. Another example: spinach and beans both contain antinutrients, but spinach (often eaten raw) is paleo but beans (boiled for hours) are not. BUT if paleo is what keeps your head in the game, then that's what you should do. When cutting, I'll have potatoes & rice, but skip bread & pasta to make room for things I like better. I've run VLC diets in the past, and they of course work, but to me it feels like doing more work to get the same results (and with less energy to work out).
