CrashtestDawnie's Journal, 07 Sep 18

So last night I felt sick after I ate dinner. Went shopping, picked up 5mg melatonin. I took it at 9 and fell asleep right before 10 with my tummy still hurting. I woke up at 1:56 and never could go back to sleep. Today is gonna suck. 5 nights in a row of only 4-4:30 hours of sleep 😖😞

If you like, read last Jparlett's journal 6th September, with good info about getting a restful night of sleep. https://www.fatsecret.com/Default.aspx?pa=memnd&id=113182367hope it helps :-)

I add a small glass of wine before bed; and only take 3mg Melatonin. I couldn't get to bed on time all last week so was short of sleep too. I took vacation today, turned off my alarm, and finally got a decent rest.

* Hug * Yes, I have been there. It is normal for me to take melatonin, go to sleep at 9:00pm and wake up at 1:30am. However, I can go to the bathroom and get back to sleep.. unless I start thinking about work. And what I want to happen that day... and what I fear may happen... and.. and... and... :) At times like those I will take another hit of melatonin and meditate on 'letting go'...

Haha, sometimes I can't go back to sleep not because I am not sleepy, it's my brain thinking about everything, stupid things, now I am tired😴😒 , gosh! 😂😂

Try counting backwards in 3’s, 50, 47, 44, etc. it has always worked for me.

I take magnesium on a regular basis before bed - it helps with anxiety, depression, muscle recover after exercise and sleep. If you aren't taking that supplement, I would consider investigating it and seeing if it might be helpful.

Rock639 - Magnesium, isn’t that the same ingredients in laxatives?

Must be a Virgo thing. I had a stomach ache kinda too and slept like a baby until 1:11. Couldn’t sleep again. Babysitting grand baby today. Will nap if he EVER does.

I am so sorry you are having trouble sleeping - it makes life so hard when you don't feel rested - hope you find something that helps soon!

Thanks guys! Sorry so many of you know my pain! I am taking magnesium everyday and it does help keep me regular 😬 lol I fall asleep easily but wake up to pee and then my mind is moving 10k miles a minute and I can’t turn it off. Sleeping has always been an issue for me. Even as a child. But my new job is so stressful that it is intensifying my anxiety to the point where I’m obsessing over everything and every decision. I just need to chill

@CrashtestDawnie - Right before you got this promotion... I WARNED you this would happen Virgo! :) :) I went through the same thing. What worked for me was accepting that while I was 'managing people' I actually cannot control or make anyone do anything. Mostly, that things will go wrong. I can only do my best. Now, I am thankful for my health, family, this moment, ect. Now get some sleep! :) :)
