Debbie Cousins's Journal, 17 Feb 18

Even with the soup and crackers, I was still close to 1,600 calories. If you count the two times I vomited and the explosive diarrhea that followed my eating my “legal” brownie cheesecake, I’m sure my calories were UNDER 1,600. I guess next time I pray to lose weight, I should be more specific about HOW I want to lose it. Virtually NO exercise today because of feeling lousy. I DID get in my 64-oz of water, but won’t finish this 3rd liter because I’m going to go on to bed once I’m confident the diarrhea has fully passed. Still got in all my Fiber, kept Net carbs under 30 and fats over 70%; but, I’m writing this on my phone from the safety of my bathroom, so I can’t switch screens like I usually do on my tablet. We were SUPPOSED to go to Outback with friends for lunch tomorrow, but I don’t think that would be safe yet. Couldn’t go LAST week because my husband was sick.

Debbie, what was in that cheese cake that made you sick? I hope you feel better soon. It can take a bit to get over a bout like that. 💕

I'm feeling better today. I think it was the salad that made me sick to start with. Nothing IN it, but the fact that I ate it too fast. (I had gastric bypass surgery 14 years ago, and if I eat something too fast, or don't chew it up well enough, I will be absolutely miserable until I heave it up. TMI?) As to the cheesecake, nothing IN it that made me sick, either. Probably still leftover results from the salad. It was actually a blessing to get "cleaned out," but not very pleasant when it was happening. I'm going to try the salad again for lunch today, I'll but be extra cautious to eat slowly and chew well! MIGHT cut down to 1/2 piece of cheesecake tonight, just as a precaution (or change it out for some Almond Butter Coconut Bites instead). Did okay with this morning's High-Fiber Flax Muffin Pancakes, so I think I'm past whatever it was. Thank you both for caring.
