Went to the gym last night. Going dancing tonight. Eating ok. Gotta remember the water.
So depressed lately - I have so much to do and no motivation. Somehow got it in my head that I might retire soon. What is soon? Is it this week? No. Then it is not soon enough! Looking at 2 years down the road, maybe 5. I am stuck in a cubicle all day with no windows. Gotta get out!
Waiting is the hardest part!

Dancing is great exercise! I'm in a cubicle, too, and hate it. Good for you on eating right, drinking your water, and going to the gym! :)

I love dancing. I also sit at a desk all day. I at least have a window. Retiring is at least 10 years for me and I'm looking forward to it everyday. Hang in there, you're doing great!

Wow abbadabba you sound just like me. Once I got it in my head to start considering retirement it was all I could think about. Can I last 5 more years? If I take it one day at a time? No. Maybe two? This went on for a few years. Do we have the money? What will I do? Can I stand this job anymore? The answer to the last question was no. So, finally, last month I let my supervisor know my last day will be 5/26/17. That will be my 30th anniversary with this place and I will just have turned 62.
I always get depressed this time of year. I made it through Jan. but Feb. has started on a low. I don't do the gym and I don't dance. Walking is my thing, which really helps at lunchtime. I have a couple of coworkers that I walk with and usually I drop out this time of year and return when it warms up. This year I told my walking buddies to make sure I keep it up. That half hour of fresh air and exercise is a real mood booster. Then of course there's retirement on the horizon. Can't beat that for a mood booster.
Hang in there, abbadabba! Happy Friday. Wooeeee!
