Steven Lloyd's Journal, 26 Feb 16

Last night and this morning did my first light workouts on the elliptical since the ruptured disk on the 16th (all OK'd by Dr.), very nice to have a sweat on again. Legs were wondering what was going on as I've only been walking since the injury, took 15 minutes before they "remembered" what their job was. So far so good, but for sure taking it easy and not pushing it too hard.

Sounds good, funny, I got dressed for workout and can't find my membership wallet. So no workout until found.

Thanks MJ, I did my Recovery HR again for curiosity to see how the cardio had changed, pleasantly surprised. 138bpm at target HR, 78 two minutes later for a 60 bpm differential, not too bad for an old guy. Resting heartrate still 45 to 49 bpm.

I love that sweet spot between workouts where it's been long enough that your body is like, "wait, what? We're still doing this? Ok, well time to turn it up to 11!!" but not so long that your body is like, "AIR!!!! NEED... BLOOD... CIRCULATING... TO... BRAIN... LEGS... TRY NOT... TO... DIE..." take it easy and workout in such a way that you will still be working out when your 90! Cheers!

Thnx RK & DL...the legs weren't loving it for a while but they came around in a the end...surprising how short a time it takes for things to start loosening up.
