Draglist's Journal, 18 Jan 16

Woke at 217.6, down 2.2 from yesterday, but not as low as I thought I'd be after fasting for 36 hours. But did eat nearly 4900 mg sodium yesterday in the broth I drank and according to my Tanita scale, I'm retaining the extra weight as water in the muscle mass. Colonoscopy and upper GI in the morning and then came home to a nice breakfast. UPDATE: Rested for most the of the day. Ate an early dinner and didn’t weigh in first. Did radio show at 8pm. Wanted to do some treadmill earlier, but doctor and wife said NO! :) Just as well. Ended up eating a full day of calories. Will eat lightly during the workday tomorrow as we have the Kennedy Center and dinner tomorrow night again. Other business lunches and evening events on Wednesday and Thursday. The challenge continues!

OK, Colonoscopy - I see now. Didn't think you were into extreme fasting - LOL And, good for you on having one. Can't get DH motivated.

I'm glad to hear the testing is done. Nice going with the 2.2 down from yesterday. It's something how even the low sodium foods still contain a fair amount. I made my own broth to drink a few weeks ago but I was not focused on how much salt I added. Next time I will.
