Yum! What a lovely summery breakfast.

Lovely breakfast. I tend to eat my fruits one kind at a time. But last week, I made some fruit dip for my husband and granddaughter, and I made a bowl of fruit with honeydew, cantaloupe, grapes and banana and topped it with the dip. Just had that one bowl. It was a nice treat. Might take the grandkids strawberry pickin' tomorrow when they get out of school. That will be a nice change from the melons and blueberries I usually have. I know they're cheaper at the grocery store, but it's a memory we've been making for several years now - since my granddaughter was 3 (she's 12 now).

Fruit salad is always a big hit with my grandchildren (and the adults as well). I like to combine fresh lime or lemon juice with a couple of spoonful of honey and stir that in to keep things from turning brown, though it usually disappears before that can happen. It's a great first course while everyone is waiting for the rest of breakfast to finish cooking.
