Dog Story: Our new neighbors have a pit bull. Last night our worst fears were realized when he got out and came through the hedge onto our yard while Pound Puppy was outside.
Turns out we were worried for nothing. Pound Puppy growled ferociously and chased the pit back into his own yard with his tail between his legs. The sad part is that we then had to punish him for going into our neighbor's yard.

GuntherDog - I think us dog owners must seem nuts to the rest of the world.

I prolly wouldnt have punished him.. he was just doing his dog "job" and protecting his owners.. At least he is safe. Pits can go either way. I think now he knows he can come into your yard.

Redgirl - We really hated to scold him but he chased the dog across the hedge (where he is not allowed) and DH had to go get him.

Alphamares - 7 dogs would turn me to trail mix! Actually, we'd have more critters but on 3/4 acre we are very limited. DH used to have a horse and I used to have a pony (as a child). Maybe some day.

Dogs are soo funny, small dogs have big dog attitudes!!

Daisy (Cairn terrier) has the biggest attitude ever. She's always trying to protect me from big dogs in the park, that are minding their own business. Not to mention people walking by across the street, the mailman, and DH lol.

Wholefood - goes to show that attitude is everything!

Msbuggirl - Must be something about terriers? Mine is an unknown mix but he definitely has terrier in him.

We have two rescue dogs. Lovey and Gypsy. They are such pains, don't know what we would do without them. We originally found seven along a country road two days after our previous dog died. A friend and my wife found homes for five.
