jmb3450's Journal, 11 Dec 14

Yesterday's sodium intake was much less than I'd done in a while, I drank lots of water, and it showed in the number of trips to the bathroom overnight to pee. I thought about taking my pillow in there with me. No exercise yesterday as I got in very late so it'll be my rest day for the week. Looking in the mirror this morning I can definitely see improvements, the excess fat on my belly is less and love handles are shrinking. So no matter what the scale says that's encouraging.

Salt makes a difference, for sure. How you feel is the most important, so keep it up. Nice!

WTG Jim! Eventually when we reach our goal weights we wont want the # to move & we will be looking at other things to measure our progress,so might as well get in the habit of searching those ways out now & *I* can't think of a better way than seeing the progress in our bodies!!! It IS encouraging :))

well, it won't be long until you will get used to less salt. I use about 1 teaspoon a day. Eat virtually no processed foods, so know just about what I'm getting. Am sorry it took 4 stents to get your attention, but at least you're still alive. My ex-SO died in his sleep from heart attack. So, while the looks of a skinnier you is great, you should see under the hood! It's probably greater! Kudos.

Interesting note taken from the book Younger Next Year for Women that may or may not have been included in the book you read Jim,our bodies are designed to renew itself & our taste buds are replaced on a daily basis! Jackie is correct in saying:It wont be long until you get used to less salt :)

Yup, I remember reading that. Amazing....like we grow a new tongue every day, at least the tasting cells.
