Fritzy 22's Journal, 16 Apr 22

I was getting ready to go start making lunch and realized it had stopped raining so I took Bobby for a walk instead. I was able to make it up the hill that has been keeping me from walking more than 20 or 30 minutes. I forgot that afer that hill was another incline. But it wasn't bad and then I walked downhill and did a loop back to my house. Walked about 45-50 minutes. A good start to the day. I just had lunch - I cooked chunks of chicken breast in the wok with mushrooms and onions and added barbecue sauce and had the chicken over a salad. That will (or should be) my last meal of the day.

Thanks Bananas, CrystalJo, Shrewdness and Liv. I'm so happy I finally made it up that hill! Bananas - it was more than the shoes - I am horribly out of shape. I always do better losing weight when I also exercise. I am less likely to buy a Butterfinger at the checkout stand at the grocery store if I've invested 2 hours in a long walk. Just hope I can do it again tomorrow. My biggest challenge was getting shoes and socks on. It really hurts to turn my foot in and out.

Good for you - the hill can be a daunting challenge and you did it. That is a real accomplishment. Good for you! Now you have re-motivated me - to walk again tomorrow --- and the beat goes on. 👍🚶‍♀️

Thanks Sherry, Jergens and Sugarplum! Making it up the hill has motivated me to keep doing it. I woke up tired this morning and normally wouldn't bother with a walk. But I know if I don't keep doing it, I'll have to start over again. I walked 35 minutes and made it up the 2nd incline then turned around and walked home - fun to go downhill! The loop I did yesterday was an extra 5 minutes or so.
