Today wasn't a good day for me. The scale said I was up in weight even though I am sticking to my daily calorie intake. I don't need alot of movement just some...it is usually at this point I give up. When I hit a plateau and then nothing happens. I know this is a process and I want this but I am struggling. Trying to find easy healthy snacks and lunch ideas, where I live is remote so having a lot of selection is sometimes not possible...any help would be great. I have finally started feeling better and don't want all my hard work to go to waste again.

I am also mid-plateau, at about the same amount of weight loss; and I agree it’s harder to stay motivated without observable results. But I have worked so hard to lose these few pounds! I am just too stubborn this time to give up! I am trying a bit more exercise, less dense starches, and more veggies. Struggle along with me! We can be “plateau partners.” 😊

I’m sorry you’re struggling- you’re definitely not alone, and it could be for a number of reasons- added muscle, retaining water, etc. Hopefully it’ll work itself out and then you’ll be on the way down again! For lunches, I’ve been doing tuna with a bit of avocado mayo and pickle, eating it with lettuce or rice crackers, or a bit of chicken with tomatoes, cucumber and yogurt dip, or some hard boiled eggs and a piece of sprouted bread toasted. I’m always on the lookout for lunch ideas too, I seem to do the same 4-5 meals in rotation (throw soup in and that’s pretty much it!) hope you feel better, tomorrow is a new day!

Thanks ladies, I will gladly take the help and being plateau partners. Even a little movement like .2 or something would be good, its so frustrating and so much information out there is hard to know what is right or not...

That's where the little weight graphs on this site really come in handy. I hot my plateau around 205 lbs. and since then the lowest I measured on the scale was 201.8 lbs. just this morning. When you look at the graphs though you can see that actually you really are progressing towards your goal. I've never known anyone that lost weight every day they were dieting. Try not to beat yourself up. If you're really that hungry just eat something and don't worry about it. If you maintain a healthy lifestyle you'll continue to lose weight and more importantly, lose fat. That's when you can strut your stuff cause you stuck with it! Good luck ❤

I never thought I would LOVE cut up veggies: cauliflower, mushrooms, pepper, brocilli (no carrots/sugar) but I use 2 tbsp of Litehouse ranch for dip (the high fat stuff) and this has been my go-to snack when I really feel like stuffing my face... it really is so good! Always remember you will feel different tomorrow, so just do damage control! Forget what the scale says and stick to your program.

I have discovered tinned peaches in my journey and maybe more tinned fruits (in water no sugar added) would be available to you in your remoteness. Don't give up. Sometimes you need to give your body some time to catch up with your soul. Breathe deeply, stretch and give your self a big hug. You are doing better than you think!! One day, the scales will show you, to help you believe in yourself. You have to just keep experimenting to find out what works for you and one day it will "click".

Patience is a virtue, it takes time for your body to adjust, it will happen if you stay the course. All of on here has had similar experiences as you are having. This community is wonderful for help, support and talking through the tough periods.

Don’t give up, stay the course. Documenting before I eat anything has helped me. Just add a bit more movement.. any increase in movement is a good thing! You can do it!!

Don’t give up!! Also even if the scale isn’t changing at the moment, you’re still nourishing and exercising your body which is so awesome and your body will thank you in the long run! ❤️

I am in the same boat. have lost the same five lbs for the last six months. I am working on changing habits one at a time and made smaller weight goals. instead of focusing on 50 lbs to lose its now just 35 lbs (more realistic) and focusing on just ten lbs at a time. It is not hard to make small changes to lose ten lbs compared to the drastic changes needed to lose 50lbs. it makes the true lifestyle change more manageable and able to be followed long term.

I think Amira Loses might have a point I am going to lower my total goal to maybe 10-15 pounds instead of almost 50 and then it may help me stay motivated. Thanks for the suggestion!!!
