Wanted peanut butter. Got peanut butter. I have only been wanting it for over two months. Got the jar with only peanuts and salt. Dumped out as much oil as would come out. Turned the jar upside down. Let it sit in the fridge for over a month. Today I had my PB straight and stayed under my cals for the day HA! Left plenty of room for other foods on my cals. No, I didn't eat the whole jar lol. Measured out exactly what I really really wanted. What a fat bomb BUT I loved it!! Ate it very slow and enjoyed every bit. I won't do the PB meal for a long time.

Have you heard of PB2? It's powdered peanut butter that your reconstitute with water. WAY less calories and fat, but still all the protein.

No, I haven't heard of PB2. Where can I get it? Sounds good!

My wal-mart carries it for under 5 dollars. You can order it online but it's much more expensive. You can read the reviews on amazon for it.

You want to look for peanut butter with just peanuts in it. No salt. Or if you have a food processor just dump peanuts in it and watch it turn to peanut butter. Peanut butter isn't bad for you and the oil that you dumped out is a natural oil from the peanuts that's actually good for you. You do need good fats. Be careful of the peanut butter powder, I've heard it can stall weight loss and over all isn't good for you. Use it sparingly if you do decide to try it. Good luck :)

I read every PB label and the Smuckers Natural was the only one that didn't have a bunch of other gunk in it other than salt. I hadn't thought of making my own. Thanks, I will do that when this jar is gone lol. Also I need to check into the PB2. Couldn't stand to have any more stalling on this weight! Also, you are right about PB being good for you, I read about it online today.

Do you have Adam's peanut butter where you are (we have that here in Canada) and the only ingredient is Peanuts :) but you made a good choice given the options of crap that are on the shelves :) So good on you!

No, we don't have Adam's peanut butter. I checked the peanut butter aisle today for any kind of new pb or the pb2. I still have a lot left in my jar so I was just "window shopping". All that Easter candy in the store and I wasn't even tempted to look at them. It was amazing. My major temptation used to be Reeses peanut butter eggs (christmas trees, etc.) and now I'm just happy with my nut butter(in small doses lol). Thank you for saying I did a good choice!

Good for you! It's so nice when you are in the right place mentally to not care about the garbage (aka holiday candy). If you have a food processor tying making some peanut butter when you run out, super easy :) And you're welcome, you did well...although added salt isn't ideal it's MUCH better than the things you can not pronounce that are in so many of our products. Keep up the great work!!! :)
