Greetings Buddies:

It is minus 23 degrees today and maybe getting colder...so much for the Polar Vortex!

I got on the Idiot Box yesterday and got a different number...higher! Geesh!

But, I sucked it up and logged it. Last year at this time, I was 22 pounds lighter...seems I lost my motivation last April and gained off and on.

Seeing the number brings me back to reality...time to really clean up the food plan again. I may be eating more protein than I need and could increase the good fruits and veggies.

I'm just over 4 weeks away from not recording my weight for AN ENTIRE YEAR!!! So I applaud your bravery as I have not yet built up to that yet. Maybe my one year anniversary of not weighing will bring about a change of heart. I am working on the clean up, too, but somehow it isn't the quick and easy process it appears to be when we are first starting out. When it's this long and winding road, I find it so much harder to remotivate myself. But I'm not giving up. And I'm glad you aren't, either. Let's do it!

We all lose sight occasionally. I, too, am up around 20-25 lbs from where I was this time last year. It's wonderful that you're taking charge of it. We can't change the past, but we can create motivation for the future.

I am back to where I started in March 2012, plus 2 lbs. Ouch. 1 day at a time, with smart decisions, and honest tracking...We are diligent! We will be back to where we belong in no time! :-)

-14 with wind chills in Ohio.I hate it!I had a setback last summer.Go figure when its miserable out I am SUPER motivated.We need protein when its this cold.Fruits and veggies are yummie but hard to find good fresh!

I think you should try the more fruits and veggies. Eat your protein too, but maybe not quite as much. I'm not a huge protein eater and I have to work at eating it. You will figure it out!
