HCB's Journal, 05 Jan 14

Greetings Buddies:

I went to my workout today at
Orange Theory and we did functional training e.g., dragging a 50 pound weight attached to a rope, jumping in and out of car tires, pushing medicine balls, etc.

So, how is it possible I have not lost any weight? Truly, I have not even after 90 days of exercise and monitoring food.

Well, I had to go back to look at my food calendars from when I was better losing in 2012 and saw I was eating 40-45% carbs including more fruit and veggies and fiber.

I have heard you can eat enough protein to "gain" because it gets stored in your body. Has anyone else read or heard of this and can inform me?

I guess I have to go back to what used to work and see what changes...

I am dedicated, determined, and diligent!

I think that it is great that you are investigating and keep figuring it out. Once you try your "old" way again, I'll be anxious to hear how it worked. Are you still doing your intermit fasting days?

So you are saying you lost weight better when you were eating more fruit and vegetables? That's what makes sense to me, but like I said in another post, it gets confusing with all the conflicting information out there in diet land. What kind of food have you been eating lately and not seeing any loss?

Muscle weight more than fat or so I've been told. Sounds like you are working out in ways that will build muscle. Acquire a scale that measures body fat % to if your are curious.
