The top half with the icing was good. Not mindblowing though. It was too dry and not sweet enough a couple inches in. :(

Lol, Wifey, At least now I can forget about this thing now. It looked like the best thing ever but was only so-so. There are still many other flavors to try though! You're not missing much, One.point.

pre-sugar injection before workout? question - given your performance, gains, etc. is this fuel as effective as others? or what's the food that you feel your best at when lifting? that sugar would rough me up and i would feel pretty sluggish. pizza the night before works pretty good for me. :)

The sugar wouldn't, it's the fat+sugar that makes me sleepy. I wouldn't have this pre-workout but yes, glycogen is glycogen.

I just think people love to blame everything on sugar or carbs and the fat gets a pass. Would gummi bears or fruit make you tired? Simple sugars alone actually provide more energy not less. It's when you combine both like with this cake that you become sluggish, and that is only really if you eat too much.

The real issue is not what offends us but why does it offend us. It speaks of a deeper heart issue. What offends us often times is unhealed wounds and unmet needs. The truth is when I'm secure in who I am, I am in essence unoffendable. So when something bothers me I need to look into myself and examine why. This man works his butt off and it shows. I do not. So therefore cake is a luxury for me. Does that offend me? No. Because if I put in the time and effort I can reap the freedom. Until my own discipline reaches that level I make different choices. Not better not worse just different. Blessings Diablo. I learn much from you and your wife.

That pastry looks good to some people but as for me, there is no attraction. I admit I am a sucker for Krispy Kreme donuts and I can eat them a half dozen at a time but I don't. I realize eating a tasty dozen is not healthy for me so I enjoy one or two in moderation. There's nothing wrong with anyone posting pictures of foods they enjoy. I have seen pictures of well intended diet meals posted that were less nutritious than a pastry. I view them with the same caution I do pastries. It's all about choices...
