This doesn't quite capture the absolutely gorgeous color of the Agua de Jamaica (Hibiscus Tea). I bought this huge bag on Amazon so we'll be drinking this all summer. I use about 1+ cup of dried flowers in 8 cups of not quite boiling water and let it steep for 20 minutes. It loos so pretty in a glass of ice with the sunshine. Sometimes I mix it with Crystal Light lemonade or add a bit of sweetener.
And, then there is today's OMAD. Costco meatballs in a bit of marinara with fresh mozzarella, just picked basil, week-old parsley, and grated Parmesan. Not pictured is the big bowl of Caesar salad or the protein shake I had for dessert.

I love hibiscus tea!! I mix mine with a little soda water and ice. It really does look so pretty in a glass too. The meatballs look amazing and the whole dinner is another winner!! 😍

I use hibiscus teabags I get at the grocery store, but the color is not nearly as pretty as this, and is probably not as tasty!

In the Caribbean we make it with boiling water, or stew in the microwave for 15 minutes, with fresh ginger slices and a tiny bit of orange peel and sweetener. I add a dollop of balsamic glaze (it works, makes the flavour richer). Some people add a cinnamon stick. At Christmas we make it much stronger - less water - and serve it with rum. We don't call it hibiscus tea though, we call it sorrel or when it's a soda, Big Red.

Thank you everyone for your comments on the hibiscuc tea. I'm going to have to add some ginger; I'm sure I'll like it spicy over ice. Soany great ideas.
