Just met with my friend for lunch at Red Lobster. I checked the menu ahead of time and had the side salad with NO croutons, and the Maine Lobster Tail with drawn butter. Total carbs for the meal: 3.69. There was just one little problem! The GIFT she gave me for Christmas (we JUST got together to exchange) is a Danish Almond Kringle which she ordered online from Racine, Wisconsin. It is THE BEST thing I have ever put in my mouth (well, maybe next to Marie Calendar's German Chocolate Pie)! It lists 1/12th of the danish ring as one serving, so I meticulously cut out 1/4 of it into 1/24th slices (if that makes sense - cut the 4th into six slices. Fourteen Net Carbs, but I had planned for the day by only having 1.1 Net Carbs for breakfast (2-egg omelet with cheese and 2 sausage patties). I was GOING to have some of my chicken soup for dinner, but if I only ate 1-1/2 cup of it, I would have stayed under my Net Carbs, but I would have missed my Fiber goal. SO, instead of having the soup, I'm having another Atkins Chocolate-Coconut bar and 21.5g Fiber and 26.8g Net Carbs. I FROZE the other five 1/24th slices, and am "making" (without opposition) the other members of the household eat the REST, because I KNOW I can't trust myself with it around! Just so you get an idea of how much self-control I exhibited, the slice I had was 1" wide by 2" long by 1/2" thick, which is exactly ONE SQUARE INCH of dessert!

I am SO PROUD of you. Look at where you are now...keeping track of each goal and planning accordingly. I don't even count carbs and fiber (mostly protein and calories). I tried for a couple of days when I started your challenge months ago (until you told me we didn't have to do ALL of the minis). IT IS HARD! You are doing incredible friend! XOXO

Wow Debbie. You are really doing great! Impressive organisation. Nothing is 100% perfect, but how you deal with it is important, and you did well. :)
