awww thx! Are those hearts the colors of Mard Gras?!?

You and I dress similarly. Bright colours and lovely patterns that are one size fits most! I like big floaty outfits, too. Recently I am wearing clothes that are smaller but still don't hug the curves/fat. I find if I wear clothes that fit across the shoulders appropriately and are still loose, that it works. Thrift stores are the best as you can try a wide variety of clothes since they span the last few years of 'style' so you can find styles that flatter you. And best of all the price is right so if you take it home and it isn't your favorite after all, there is no guilt in sending it back to the thrift shop!

Terrapin, yes the hearts are the colors of Mardi Gras. I live in Texas, but I left my heart in Louisiana. 💚💛💜

Thanks Carol, I agree. I used to have a friend who traveled a great deal, and she would buy her travel wardrobe at thrift shops and discard items along the way, so that by the time she got home it was all gone, nothing to unpack. 😁

What a concept of light packing and then you could have room for gifts you bought for the way home!!

Carol, that's exactly what she did! She was a mentor to me and such a wise person. I miss her very much.

Clair, your so smart; I love that, Coat of Arms!! 🌈🌈🌈

I've never heard 'coat of arms'... love that. I liked rationalizing that my wrinkles are laugh lines & battle scars... proof that I've lived, loved and laughed.

Amen Bella, we've earned each and every one of them! 💚💜💛

Shirfleur I have been thinking about you. I honour that you usually make your clothes however that is quite a commitment of time and energy when you are working to move down in sizes. The Thrift store suggestion takes out that kind of time commitment. The idea is that you will be wearing some of these clothes temporarily. You may actually find the experience to be more fun than you imagine as you can quickly see yourself in a variety of styles and sizes. I often find that I go in thinking I am a certain size and discover that I am smaller than I thought and so can go back to the racks in a different size area.

Carol, I have never in my life been able to find ready-made clothes that fit me. I am extremely long-waisted, and my top is a different size than my bottom. My experience with shopping for clothes has always been frustrating and disappointing, so the idea of doing so again holds no appeal to me, though I do appreciate your taking the time offer your suggestions. I'm fine right now with the clothes I'm wearing, and I do have some clothes in smaller sizes I will be able to wear later on.
