3300 calories for $1.43. Hard to beat this deal on energy. Maybe if they charged per $1 per 100 calories, we wouldn't have this obesity problem. It will never happen but that would solve it.

So true, but once they have you addicted it's hard for people to change. Cigarettes cost 13 to 14 dollars a pack here in NY and I know people who smoke 1 to 2 packs a day. Although I definitely think that your idea would discourage a bunch of people. Plus not only is that cheap, but healthier foods seem to be so expensive. Those donuts look good though! Enjoy 😊!

They look good but I am glad they are going to taste like crap. :P

Eh, I don't believe in addiction to certain foods. A ripe piece of fruit isn't far off in taste for me. And even if the poor populations could afford a donut, they sure would think twice about buying a whole box for $33.

sadly there are ppl who live off the 99c burgers 3x a day because they for whatever reason, homelessness, don't qualify for food stamps, etc. HEALTHY food should be 99c for a meal (tho that is tough on farmers) and burgers can keep whatever cost because they are, well, businesses and yes, I believe people should make right choices but not be forced into it. I live rurally so I have seen from all angles. Bums don't buy from espresso shops, they buy from fast food joints.

Yes, meanwhile 12 apples would be near $10 at $2.50 a pound but only 864 calories compared to 3300 in these donuts. So 2436 fewer calories but $8.50 more expensive. And sadly, these sugar rings are still delicious, DP. Not sad for me, but you understand, haha! I only had one so far. Sharing with co-workers.

Love finding baked goods on clearance. With 3 kids they go fast! Thankfully we have our own Apple trees so the littlest has been munching apples non stop.

I used to walk by a doughnut store... walk by... and gain five pounds just inhaling. And I love doughnuts. In fact, doughnuts are a prominent feature in my current fiction. Go figure, and the baker-sleuth (of course, why not) is thin. hahahaha...

Man, I need to do the donut diet. 6-day old donuts and a large protein shake a day. I'd save a lot of money. :P

It’s really hard not to buy cheap treats! I’d prefer to bake my own but it’s way more expensive and ain’t nobody got time for that 😆

OMG- I was reading it like who the hell wants to eat donuts that are 6 days old- even I have standards. Next time maybe write a 1/2 doz day old donuts for those of us not as smart. 🤣😂😅
