For those who asked about the oven I'm posting a picture. The oven is 20 inches off the floor. The convection/microwave is a little high for me or I'm a little short. Have to stand on tip toes to reach the controls. Haven't used either of them expect to see what a baked potato would be like in the convection oven. It was very expensive and is wasted on me but they don't seem to have microwaves anymore that would have fit into that spot. I will have to learn to appreciate it.

It is looking very pretty. As a short person I have a stepping stool in my kitchen LOL

Liv - I need to get a stepping stool. I need it to reach stuff on the higher shelves. I'm 5 ft 3 1/2 inches. Hope I can find one that supports my weight!

I got a really nice one - Cosco brand, folds up and light weight. I did buy it at CosTco!

I have a step stool in the kitchen because it affords me use of all my cabinets without having to rely on BF's assistance. Baked potatoes are great in a convection oven, if you lightly oil and sprinkle salt on the skin, they can taste just like an oven baked potato. The salt, while not my personal favorite, is required because it helps the skin crisp. You can try it both with and without, salt is better in this instance. same thing when cooking a whole chicken in there if you want the crispy skin. Lovely oven. Enjoy!

I need a stool that I can keep in the kitchen. I have a folder step ladder with 2 steps that I use sometimes to reach the top shelves in the kitchen. I have a little stool with fabric on top I bought at a thrift store so the dog could use to get up onto the bed. I can stand on it, but afraid my foot will break through the fabric. I'll look around at the thrift stores. Katsolo - I will try putting oil and salt on the potato before baking in convection oven - the one I tried came out kind of soggy so I finished it in the toaster oven (bought the toaster oven when the original oven stopped working!)

Fritzy, I have a plastic folding single-step stool I got at BedBathandBeyond. It folds thin enough to tuck nest to the refrigerator, so it's out of sight but always handy.

Keyten - I was thinking about roasting veggies - sweet potato, onion, brussels sprouts, maybe carrots too. I actually even like them cold the next day. But right now my oven still smells brand new.

I love it. Rm and have been remodeling the world's ugliest and most depressing kitchen for going on 3 years. I got kitchenaid appliances last year and i absolutely love them. It has changed cooking and cleaning for me. So worth it. Wait until you use the self-clean!!

Also, roasted veggies have become an absolute mainstay of my woe, but usually just use the toaster oven. 😁

The self-cleaning cycle is great, especially if yours uses water; but I still put a silicone oven mat in the bottom, to catch drips.

Beautiful ! Maybe you can do some meal preps to freeze instead of just a single meal. With those two ovens you could cook up a storm and knock it out in a few hours. You will have fun with those two new appliances!
