Like a good wife DP was concerned that my 4k calorie mostly processed food diet was killing me so I had blood work done. Everything is in normal range and triglycerides are actually in the low range. Coronary risk was at the lowest risk range. Guess I'll continue. And actually, I am now closer to 3k calories since I'm cutting. I guess a healthy weight and exercise really are the most important factors. I knew they would return in range given how good I feel all the time.

Awesome, big D—you’re hard work and long-term dedication to lifting has been such an inspiration for me to keep going and not giving up. Thanks for helping me re-discover my love of lifting, even with 20 years going by since I used to. 😊💪🏻

That's great news 👍! I've been curious about getting my blood work done as well. Curious if T levels are included in that test or is that a different type of test? At 45 yrs old here, probably need to start

Thyroid panel. It is not a routine lab test unless you and your doc agree it needs to be evaluated. Diablo, I’m really glad You had the labs done. I think it is a good thing for anyone starting a very specific diet program that will be pretty long term to know where their baseline levels are.

The most important factor is “happy wife, happy life”. This past week-end we celebrated 50 years of marriage and that’s was my beloved husband says!!!

Haha. I used to say that until I heard " happy spouse, happy house". I like that better. 😊💕

Kenna, I bet he’s talking about a testosterone test. Us guys worry about that. I’m actually glad mine went down. Too much T when I was younger 😁

My wondering is always whether or not people get healthy regardless of what they eat. Calorie deficit (weight loss) and exercise seem to be the biggest keys to better health. I know I feel a lot better in so many ways.

DP was wise to be concerned, who knew food was not your krytonite...😂😂😂😂

Love to educate. — LOL. You are probably right. I was coming from a totally different point of few.

Thanks everyone! Yes, Chris. I've been fearmongered by the usual suspects saying that I was headed for diabetes. My glucose level was right in the middle of the healthy range.

Yeah, like Chris said, Supernotman, checking the Testosterone levels is separate. I actually asked the doc about that.
