We do but it doesn’t matter! As in the Lion King... “it’s in the past” what matters is what lies ahead! A healthy, long and productive life!

I was watching the Woodstock feature on PBS's "American Experience" last evening and realized that all those hippies are now in their 60s and 70s. I don't think I'll ever get used to the idea that my friends and I are all "senior citizrns"!

I know how you feel. I still think young, but my body feels like a senior citizen...lol. Though, I sure miss those rock concerts.

There are people in my world who do know a couple of my back stories but I don’t really have a need to talk about them. They do not define my life in any way. I physically and mentally survived and most importantly is that I learned that there is absolutely nothing that can ever happen to me that I cannot either walk away from, learn to accept, recover from and survive. Fear, doubt and anxiety are foreign concepts. This has not been learned overnight — It is a perspective gained from being privileged enough to have attained an OLDER AGE

Yep, I was a quintessential hippie living in a commune outside of San Francisco on the Russian River.

Whaddya know Kenna... I was a hippie kid in Ukiah that crossed the Russian River every day! We may have crossed paths in the area during that time in history 😁✌️☮️

Small world Pixie. I was in Gurnville and Forestville. My husband and daughter and I . Great times, lots of fun. But eventually most of us have to grow up and become a little more responsible.

Goldengrdly—- awe, concerts. Now you are talking. I was pregnant and about to deliver when Woodstock came along but man would I have loved to have been there. I once delivered a baby at another big rock concert. The ambulance couldn’t get to us so they sent in a helicopter. That was the first of 7 babies I have delivered in the field and my first of many helicopter rides. I was as thrilled as the new mother.

I love that shirt!!! I went to Strawberry Fields which was a huge outdoor weekend concert shortly after Woodstock=same summer but near Toronto. I went to college in Boston @ that time. Always interesting.

I would not have ever guessed this about you. You seem very No Nonsense! No time for fun- hard work and seriousness always.

Hehehe— hippie chick all the way but pays attention to business. I am very much a realist however. Age does that to you. Somehow I have managed to keep my angel wing dress and combat boots on one side of the bed and my mom clothes and nursing uniform on the other. Both have stood me well over the years.
