Today is the day! It's the day that I decided to get back on track tomorrow! Today, I'm finishing off the food I won't be able to eat anymore. I cooked spaghetti squash, made low-carb spaghetti sauce, and cooked fresh string beans from my garden - all ready to start eating tomorrow. All of the bad foods are out of the house (except for ice cream, which I'm not going to eat after today) and Diet Coke (but I'm finishing off the last of the 2-liter bottles today - starting tomorrow, it will be one small bottle a day AFTER I have had at least half of my water consumed). I've got my Atkins Chocolate Coconut bars ready for "desserts." I've gotten all my cravings out of my system - got 50 chicken drumettes for the family yesterday, and I'm' finishing those up now. Starting tomorrow, I will record everything I eat or drink, I will keep my net carbs under 30 grams, which will INCLUDE lots of vegetables, but I will be staying away from fruit for awhile. I will get 60% of my calories from fat and will get in 20+ grams of Fiber every day. I'll either swim, or walk, or do my PT exercises every day. I will start with an RDI of 1,800 (on which I can still lose weight), but I will decrease it by 50 calories a week until it is back down to 1,600/day. I will measure out my water tonight, and make iced green tea in the morning to get in my 64 oz of water a day (up from ZERO ounces lately!) SO, that's my plan, and I'm sticking to it. July is a new month and the RE-start of the new (old) me! @Sharon's Victory, @butterfliesrfree and @Pixie61 - get ready, 'cuz here I come!

I love. these kind of post. so motivational. when someone gets to that point where their determination and problem solving abilities collide to make an action plan. this sounds like a great plan and I wish you the best of luck. I can not wait to see what else you accomplish!

Jmho, you should keep the fruit for those desserts, lose the Fatkins bars and especially that diet coke. That's two artificial sweeteners. Then, you've got a pretty solid plan. Best of luck on your adventure.

I have been doing more fruit recently but...sometimes it really triggers the sugar cravings. I don't like the taste of the artificial sugars though so...it could also be that I just like the taste better of the "real" sugar and then want more...you just have to do what works for you!

All great ideas—you CAN do this! I’ve been praying for you, and I’m glad to hear the same fire and determination that I heard from you when I first started here. July is your month to shine! And it may help to remember to take things “one day at a time” b/c all we have is today. You just have to do those things for today—and that you can do! 😊👍🏻💪🏻
