OMGosh! Sounds delicious! Makes me want the Bourbon Bread Pudding from Spoonbread Bistro!

Oh yes Debbie cousins— I have a bread pudding recipe that I make with whisky sauce. I triple or quadruple the sauce recipe and use the leftovers for pancake syrup the next day. I only make it when a gang of us go to my ranch and I know we will be hiking our butts off. I eat ice cream once in a while, one pint will last 2 nights for my BF and I.

irishdancer—-I have been making the bread pudding and whiskey sauce for so long that I no longer have a written recipe, I just make it. Basically they are all the same—I’m sure I add way more whiskey than the original recipe called for.. Just Google bread pudding with whiskey sauce and no doubt there will be a lot of choices. I use raisin bread. I’m personally not a white bread person.

Bourbon and whiskey are basically the same thing, a couple of differences that are not crucial for this application. Jack Daniels works.

I need to figure out how to make a keto version - how to do the praline with sugar substitute . . .

Gz9gig— I love Carmel corn but eat it rarely because of the sugar. I bought some SWERVE, the brown, regular and powdered sugar, and have been experimenting with it. I have made zucchini cake using 50/50 and you couldn’t tell the difference. I added some of the SWERVE brown sugar to some apples the other day and it did create a Carmel sauce that got sticky. I have a feeling that it will harden. I’m going to make a small batch of my Carmel corn and give it a try. Probably next week. I’ll post the result on my journal.

It is good. My BF and I split a pint.— 1/2 cup for each of us for two nights.
