Why do we have to see these huge pictures of everyone's lunch? We all know what a salad, an omelette, boneless skinless chicken breasts look like don't we? Posting a picture of what you eat doesn't make you any thinner. We should use this space to encourage on another and see our before and after pictures, or post helpful hints.

They are food selfies. It is the sign of the times and social media. I like the people selfies and I like the words of wisdom, the vents, the issues, the encouragement so I scroll through the food pics fast and stop when I see something that interests me. I think about food way too much so I avoid those pics, but once in a while I see something I want a recipe for. You need a fast trigger finger to scroll. Exercise that pointer.

A lot of people are not at home and snap off pics of their lunch so they can enter exactly what they ate in their tracker when they get home. Just scroll past it. 😜

I think of the pictures as a guide for new and interesting options that fit into my diet. It’s kind of like thumbing through a cookbook.

That is exactly what the photo option is meant for, or food/health related pictures. Not reposting inspirational crap from Instagram and other social media.

I know English is my second language but when one uses the words “we should...”, darling that is not an opinion. @ Mistics

Sometimes I use the pics of food to get creative... especially when what I eat seems dull, monotonous and undesirable.

I've got many good ideas / combinations from the pics actually

I like to see and show food pics as a way to see options to eat that I may have never seen or new items to try out. We are all here for the same reason, we love to EAT. Sharing the pics are just a means to stay on track with my choices and sometimes I use the pics to remember what I should have eaten if I gained the next few days. Maybe this isn't the forum for you, you think?

I enjoy seeing the pictures of peoples food. I like to see what others are creating and see if its something I could create or recreate to fit into my WOE. I think its great, and we should support whatever people choose to post!

I think a lot of people create healthy meals and want to show them off. I am getting used to the photos but I admit I don't really look at them.

I love posting and seeing what others enjoy. We all have our ups and downs and need support through the good times and especially through the bad . We are here because we have or had an unhealthy relationship with food. It is there every day to remind us.

Yeah some of the pics are boring but a couple swing by that are inspirational - new combinations or interesting cultural differences, some people put up interesting recipes .. mainly I think they're inspiring. But the mundane day to day omelets and plate of fruit with a bit of ham .. don't really get the point on putting that on the forum. .. its a bit pointless. The best probably of them is portion size .. there's a massive range out there in what different people consider meal size .. that's interesting to get a view on portions.

I like seeing what others eat...if something looks good I can ask what it is and how its prepared. I tend to get sick of eating the same foods, cooked the same way all the time. 90% of the world is a better cook than I am, I'm here to learn.
