I hate it when I order a salad and they serve it with such big pieces of lettuce that it takes all the enjoyment out of eating my salad because I have to cut up the ingredients. these days they throw in stems and big leaves, also big curly leaves that tend to spill out of the bowl when you try to pick out a fork full. Am I the only one who wants a salad with bite sized pieces?????

I find cutting up the big pieces takes more time to eat the salad. I am always the last one done when I go out with my friends. I prefer my greens in bite size pieces, but find this a positive in restaurant settings.

Probably the big sized pieces are more visually appealing.

Yes! I hate that! Wedge salads are dumb too.

They probably buy it in big bags and are too lazy to cut up. It's the world we live in. I am grateful though that restaurants don't all still serve iceburg salad.

Best salad is the Natalie salad at Wood Ranch in Southern California. Nice bite size ingredients and they chill the fork! So, yes I completely agree with you. When I order a salad I don't except to use a steak knife! I also can't stand that they leave the peeling on cucumbers! 😝
