My food choices lately have been pretty poor this week. My intake has been less than my exercise, so I still managed to lose a pound. Speaking of exercise, I haven't lifted weights at all this week, and only once the week before that. I have physically beat myself up pretty bad since I starting weight training at the beginning of the year. I'm feeling the cumulative effects now. A jacked up knee and burning elbow tendons any time I do a pull exercises are what’s holding me back right now. I decided to take an undetermined amount of time off from lifting to allow for some healing. I am ok with this time off because I have far exceeded my expectations for this year. I am still walking my two miles a day, so that's good.

171.0 lbs, down 1 lb
108/67 blood pressure

101 blood sugar
10mm, 20mm, 7mm = 12% body fat, up 1%
*I forgot to measure my waist.

Happy Friday!! I hope everyone is doing great. Have a wonderful weekend!

I have been eating 2600 calories for almost two weeks now trying to cut the fat. It seems to be working. Last week’s weigh in was a little off because of retained water. I was really about 173.5 last Friday rather than 174.8, so I really only lost about 1.5 lbs this week.

I have had a good month of walking. I set distance, duration and number of times walked records for this month. I feel that regular walking is important to my success.

Workouts have suffered a little bit this month. I have missed more of them that I would like but there is only so much time in the day and I am having to prioritize, and unfortunately, working out has fallen below several other things. Mainly it’s because we are looking for some acreage to purchase and I have been running all over the country side looking and planning for our new home site. As it looks now, this process is going to continue for a while. After we make our purchase, I will be spending a lot of time preparing the land and then of course moving. It is worth it though. I will just keep my calories down, work out when I have time, and continue along until we are settled again.

Halloween joke time!

Why did the ghost wreck his ghost car? …. Because he was full of booooo’s!!!
Why are ghosts always hungry? …. Because the food goes right through them!
Why do girl ghosts go on diets? …. So they can keep their ghoulish figures!

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you and your families have a fun day! Be safe.

We had a wonderful weekend with my parents on Lake LBJ. They were there with their motor home group. They rented a cabin in the park for Leslie and I to stay in. The cabin was very cute and comfy.

I had decided before I left for the weekend that I would not log my food nor would I adhere to my low carb diet. It turned out to only be one meal where I was really bad. There is a café in the town named Blue Bonnet Café. They have been serving great home cooking since 1929 and are known throughout the area as one of the best places to eat. We were not disappointed. I had fried eggs, chicken fried steak with cream gravy, grits, two delicious homemade biscuits with more cream gravy. Then on top of that, the park we stayed at gave us a coupon for a free piece of pie. Blue Bonnet Café is known for their delicious pies. They serve about 15 different types. I chose the German Chocolate Cream pie. It was to die for. I bet I ate more sugar in that pie than I had all of last year! LOL

Later tha night we had steak, zucchini, squash and salad for supper, so that was a good meal. Then Sunday morning we had eggs, bacon and sausage. Another good low carb meal. On the way back home we stopped for my favorite, Mexican food. But I was pretty good and only had a few chips and ordered one of the lower carb choices on the menu. It has become second nature at this point.

My intent was to totally be bad and eat with reckless abandon. I tried and couldn’t really do it. The one meal at the café was more than enough for me. I’m back on track today. To my surprise, when I weighed this morning, I was the same weight that I recoded Friday. No harm done!

I hope everyone else had an enjoyable weekend. Let’s make this week count!!
