I made tacos this morning. Entered as lunch but ate for breakfast at around 7:30. I started buying crunchy taco shells about a year ago and love them but maybe the small flour tortillas would be better. Although I should be well under my goal of 100 carb grams, the fat total is too much. Some is healthy like pumpkin seeds and Brazil nuts but the rest is from ground beef, cheese and taco shells. Will have half a tuna sandwich for a late lunch.
Waiting for G.I. Junk to come and take away some stuff including the futon I inherited from my dad that the thrift stores wouldn't even take. I have been getting rid of furniture, clothes and just STUFF for over 2 years now. It's amazing how much I've accumulated just since moving into this house. This house has 4 bedrooms and a living room, dining room and family room. Moving to a house, someday, with just 2 bedrooms and a kitchen, eating area and living room that all run together like one big room. Will buy lots of new furniture once I move.
Rain is coming later today and into tomorrow with lots of wind expected overnight. Hopefully I can get a quick walk in before noon.

Walked today on the dirt trail in my neighborhood. It takes 20 minutes to do the loop and we did it twice. Bobby was excited and I was tired. Will see later if the walk causes any pain. The trail has many ups and downs but I did it in the direction that has a pretty steep incline at one point, knowing walking downhill is hard on the knees. Have 2 4 ounce pieces of chicken cooking in the oven now for the Asian chicken salad that I will make for my last meal of the day.

Weight is exactly the same as last Sunday. First week in 2024 without a loss. It was too many saltines, some with butter and peanut butter and also making 2 or 3 slices of toast in the middle of one night. Hope to do better this week. I had planned on a baked potato with butter and cheese for breakfast. Found a 6 ounce potato last night to bake. Put the potato in the toaster oven then changed my mind and had a piece of rye roast. Still cooking the potato. Hope to have half tomorrow and half on Wednesday. But the day is young.
I've walked the last 3 days. First drove with Bobby to the park in town, 7 miles from my house. Walked around the blacktop loop for almost 30 minutes. Did not enjoy it. There were too many other people with dogs. Bobby doesn't like other dogs when he is on a leash. The 2nd day I walked on a dirt trail in my neighborhood. It only took 20 minutes to do the loop. Lots of up and down areas, one steep enough to have a hand rail. The orthopedist said walk on a level surface but it's really hard to find where I live. Yesterday we just walked from my house for 40 minutes. The best walk so far, about as level as there is in the neighborhood.

My stomach is upset today. Not sure if it was because of obsessing about my knee MRI or because of the salad I had yesterday. I swear my body doesn't like raw vegetables but handles cooked veggies okay. Had dry toast and coffee earlier. Don't plan on eating much. I put 5 saltines in my food log in case I need them later. But I know how easily 5 saltines can turn into 20. So for now it's Gaviscon tablets and warm milk later.

My primary care doctor's office just called and asked if I had a few minutes to go over the knee MRI done yesterday. I had to go get paper and a pen! They said there is a meniscus tear, floating cartilage and arthritis. They recommended I see the orthopedist they referred me to. I told them I saw him last Friday. And to think I wanted to cancel the MRI because the knee felt so much better and I expected to hear there is nothing wrong so stop whining (my doctor really wouldn't say that!). Have to go and Google "floating cartilage"
