Fritzy 22's Journal, 29 Jan 24

Walked today on the dirt trail in my neighborhood. It takes 20 minutes to do the loop and we did it twice. Bobby was excited and I was tired. Will see later if the walk causes any pain. The trail has many ups and downs but I did it in the direction that has a pretty steep incline at one point, knowing walking downhill is hard on the knees. Have 2 4 ounce pieces of chicken cooking in the oven now for the Asian chicken salad that I will make for my last meal of the day.

Sounds like a good day. I hope your knee does okay with this.

Thanks Morticia! So far no pain with the knee. I'm hoping the knee isn't as bad as it sounded when the doctor's office read the MRI results. Any pain is usually during the night. The walk was wonderful, being out in the fresh air on a beautiful day.

It’s great that you’re walking! I always feel better after I have walked but don’t always have the motivation. Once I start, I’m happier. You’d thing that would motivate me, but it doesn’t.

Thanks Broccolibabe, so funny I saw your comment as I just got back from a walk. I am losing motivation, both with the eating and walking. Wasn't going to walk today and finally forced myself out for a 25 minute walk, making my dog hapoy.

Fritzy, I’m losing motivation as well. I was gone all day yesterday visiting my dad in the hospital (2 hours away) and ended up eating pretzels and Oreos in the car on the way home. Why did I do that? Trying to keep busy today and stay away from the kitchen! I guess since you walked today, I will too. Maybe I will feel better after I do.

A 2 hour drive is a long way to go with snacks in the car!I am okay with pretzels. I buy them once in awhile because I know I won't overeat them lime I would with potato chips, Fritos, Doritos, etc. Oreos I only eat when I can dunk them in milk! But I have had bad snacks in the car, once I ate 3 pieces of pizza on the drive home from picking it up!

Fritzy, don't lose motivation, you are doing so well! I'm using you as inspiration when I get down and feel like giving up. You got this! We can persevere together!!💜

Thanks Diana! My biggest problem is I have a limited diet, I don't eat a variety so I get tired of the same stuff all the time. I was a picky eater as a kid and I still don't like many foods, especially spicy. I decided to make tacos today using crunchy shells. Although all the numbers work okay I'm not sure if it will help with weight loss. I went through the same thing last year, started strong and lost 10 pounds by the end of February. I didn't log weight from April until August and then entered a 5 pound gain. Hopefully, I'll get my motivation back soon

When I read your posts and comments, I feel like I’m not alone! Eating pizza in the car is something I can totally relate to!
