29 April 2018

Happy Sunday y'all. Troll scale says 310.8, so effectively back from the feast I indulged in this past Friday. On a whim this morning I decided to give my leather a try on and whattyaknow... I can now zip up BOTH my jacket and my vest (which is cut slimmer)! They are both still to tight to wear comfortably but I have not been able to even get close to zipping either for a LOOOONG time so I'm calling it a [bleeping] win! I nice way to start off the day to say the least

LSG417 inspired me with her shrimp dish (inspired meaning gave me a huge craving for some shrimp) so going to be doing something with shrimp today. Thinking sauteed with garlic and some cajun type spices over a salad of spinach, avocado, and mung bean sprouts... maybe with some bacon tossed in because everything is better with bacon. :P

So off to Sprouts I go. Its a local, less pretentious, Trader Joe's type of place. A good place to shop as well and infinitely amusing to observe the reactions of their 'normal' clientele to a long haired, inked up, 300+lb biker looking guy wandering the veggie and fresh herb section muttering about textures, color and flavor profiles. :D

Hope the sun is out shinning where you are at and even if its not, I hope you have a good day. Make the good decisions you need to in order to stick to your plan and keep your eyes open to the beauty in the world. If you can't seem to find it, look for ways to create it!

Meal for the day was a success. 8oz 85/15 ground turkey, seasoned with lemon grass, ginger, sriracha garlic, and a bit of rise vinegar then cooked up with mct oil, mung bean sprouts and spinach plus two fried eggs on top. Was trying to manage two separate meal cooking at once (son wanted the half of the turkey spiced up differently) and wound up over cooking the sprouts a bit. Still good just didn't have the crunch I wanted. My short order cook skills have apparently atrophied! :D

So some where the 1100-1200 cal intake today (I do try to eat more than average on my OMAD days)

Went out for a 3 1/2 hour cruise on the motorcycle today to enjoy the sun. Feeling more myself with every passing day. Do need to have my 'big fat guy' denim vest tailored down to fit better. I like wearing things loose but the thing is simply ridiculously huge on me now. :D Hopefully it won't be too much longer before I can wear my leather again.

I'm way behind on my water intake for the day... again so I'm off to enjoy a cigar while I try to catch up on that. Enjoy your evening y'all. It's the weekend but stick to your plans and move yourselves closer to your goals!

311.8 on the troll scale this morning. An expected bump up considering how much I ate yesterday and no big deal at all. Das bod is processing through the things that mess me up so feeling much better this morning. One of the biggest 'eye openers' I've had in all this is the direct connection between what I am eating and how things like my RA reacts.

Going to be doing something with ground turkey for my meal later today. Thinking a stir-fryish thing with bean and alfalfa sprouts, spinach, and bacon. Not a huge fan of ground turkey but I found some that was hiding in my freezer for some reason so going to use it up and treat it like a challenge for my seasoning skills. :D

I hope y'alls morning is starting off good and you are well on your way to enjoying the weekend! Be good to yourselves and keep doing things that move you forward to your goals whatever they may be!.

Ate WAY off script today and paying the price… lethargic, achy… just an overall feeling of BLAH!! But I have no regrets whatsoever! The food that we had today was all sorts of delish. We had

Pork Spare Ribs
Carne Adovada (slow cooked shredded pork in red chili)
Hot Wings
HOT Green Chili Queso Dip
blue corn tortilla chips
Red Chili Pinto bean and beef stew
Posole with pork (more red chili here)
Frybread and tortilla
Bourbon Spice cupcakes.

All simple fair (except for the cupcakes) but so full of flavors. My team is packed good cooks. I did my very best among such yumminess to keep things under control but still wound up eating about 3x my average daily cals (2800-2900 cal meal) by my best estimates. I was able to forego the things I knew would totally wreck me (the beans, posole, frybread and cupcakes) but had to have the chips to go with the queso.

This has turned into an OMAD day after that feast (more like feeding frenzy :D ) so I’ll have 3 days running of that this week instead of 2. Bottom line is while I indulged myself and stepped outside my plan, it was well worth it to spend the time laughing with folks I spend a big part (60-80 hours a week) of my life with. Tomorrow is right back to my plan, though i probably scale back the meal I had planned, I figure I’ll still be feeling stuffed by noon tomorrow. :D

I hope everyone has had an equally good day and have stuck to your own plans… and if not, don’t worry about it. Don’t beat yourself up, Just get back to what you want to be doing tomorrow!

Happy Friday y'all! A small bump up on the troll scale this morning but well within the normal range of weight flex the body does so considering it a 'no change'. Closing in on breaking through the 300 mark and looking forward to seeing that. It will mean I'm half way back to where I was and one third of the way to where I ultimately want to be.

I really need to work on drinking enough water. According to WebMD article, I should be looking at an intake of .5 oz per pound of weight.. so for me that would be something like 150oz or 4.4 liters! I don't know if I buy that amount, that is a <bleep> ton of water! I usually have a little through the day in the form of coffee or tea with the occasional bottle of water then maybe a liter or so though the evening once I'm home so I know I'm no where near that level.

So working on getting to the point of at least 2 liters a day with more consumed before I get to the office and while I'm there. Actually working on knocking back the better part of a liter now before I start getting ready for the day. Whether it helps with the weight loss or not, I figure its another good, healthy, habit I should try to pattern and ingrain as part of the long term life changes I'm working on

Here's hoping y'all have a good Friday! We are all here because we want to get to a better, healthier, version of ourselves... so to quote lyrics from one of my fav songs, 'It has to start somewhere, it has to start sometime, what better place than here, what better time than now?' Go on do some little thing to get yourselves started or keep yourselves going. We want it so let's go make it happen!
