306.2... Surprised to see that and think the scale might me trolling me some this morning but I'm going to run with it and call it a win! I know that number is a very secondary measure but I will freely admit its nice to see a steady downward push. Without a doubt a boost to morale.

Closing in on 2 months rolling with my strategy of keeping carb very low while leaning to a higher fat to protein ration. 2 months and closing in on 50lbs down and feeling really good about things. I say it often here and feel I can't emphasize how important it is , especially if one has struggled with more ups than downs weight wise IMO, to take a brutally honest look at one's mental/emotional connections with food and find a way to break/remap those connections that lead to repeated (and seemingly uncontrollable) self sabotage.

It's only been 2 months, and only time (years) will tell if the changes made mentally will hold against the repeated [bleep] storms life brings. But I feel doing that uncomfortable mental/emotional work brings a better chance for success of reaching and maintaining the ultimate goal than if its not done.

Enough introspection.. The day awaits! Its been cooler here the last couple of days and I have not ridden the scoot. But this morning I'm going to suck it up and deal with the chilly ride in to work so the brisk but sunny ride home later can be enjoyed. I hope the day brings y'all good things. If it doesn't, find ways to make them yourself. Keep the faith all and stick to your plans!

Finally home and feeling stuffed. My OMAD day turned into a 16:8 day when I stopped by a friend's place and got served pan fried catfish (lightly breaded with crumbled pretzel), roasted green beans and corn and a glass of a very nice red wine (which surprisingly paired well with the catfish). Brought my daily intake up to the 1350-1450 cal range. More than I like and that combined with the corn, green beans, and breading (all things I normally avoid) is what is making me feel stuffed (bloated) and blah. No regrets though, I accepted the meal knowing the probable results because I knew it would be damn yummy. I was not disappointed. I'll be back to OMAD tomorrow and will be cutting back that meal somewhat to compensate.

I was horrible on my water intake today so working on knocking back a couple liters tonight as I work. Since I have been paying closer attention to hydration, I am noticing the physical feeling that tells me I'm on the dehydrated side of things. I find it interesting to have that awareness, like with real hunger, develop.

Hope y'all are having a good evening. Relax, keep the faith, and continue doing the things that move you closer to your goals!

More progress acknowledged by the troll scale this morning. Seems the bod is liking the OMAD thing. This will be my 7th day and now that I'm in the groove I plan to just keep it going with the occasional deviation back to 16:8. I'm glad I gave the IF strategy a shot. For me it makes planning simpler. I do like to be able to plan 3 to 4 meals ahead so now that is 3 to 4 days worth.

I did get some walking in yesterday after the rain however my back is apparently a wreck so it got uber painful real quick. I was hoping the drop in weight (42lbs or so now) with alleviate that but it seems a trip to the quackopractor (chiropractor) is in order soon to get things realigned again. Also need to get a pair of good walking shoes and work a PF membership back into the budget now that I have figured out how to work exercise into my day.

Here is wishing you all a good Thursday. Keep focused on what you are trying to accomplish and keep to your plans!

6th day doing the OMAD thing. Its going really well and as I said, seems to fit the bods rhythms pretty well. I am a touch hungry now that I'm home (which I wasn't Mon. or Tue.) which tells me I need to plan on added 200-300 or so extra cals to at least one workweek meal. Going to see what I can do to make that happen tomorrow.

Did a little better on the water consumption today. About 1.5 liters consumed. Still need to do better than that but at least being mindful about it, which is a little win all by itself.

After all the responses I got on my salt question (thank you all once again!) I went back and reviewed the last month's numbers in that area and found I was averaging 1500-2500mg per day. A few days in the 3500mg range but over all not nearly what I thought I was consuming. Going to keep reading up on the references that were provided so not going to be changing anything anytime soon. Just another datapoint to consider in the continuous process of tuning the complex, dynamic, machine called the bod.

Got some rain here so being the born and bred desert animal that I am, stood in it for a while to enjoy the water falling from the sky before I walked inside. I hope y'all have had a good day, have done things to move you even an inch closer to your goal, and are in the process of having a relaxing evening.

A little down ward drift this morning and inching closer to the 300 milestone. I have a salmon and lettuce salad mixed up seasoned simply with red chili and garlic with some rice vinegar to give it a little acidic kick to the flavor. Will be adding some pork rinds for a crunch as well as to up the cals of the meal and balance the macros where I want them.

Moving to doing the OMAD thing more and more. Been on that eating schedule for 5 days now and do like it. As long as I can get enough fuel cals wise during the always rushed workday lunch (without feeling stuffed) I think I'll be sticking with it. Seems to fit the rhythm of the bod nicely.

Hope y'all out there have a good day. Keep doing good things for yourself, the things that move you closer to where you want to be. Remember that doesn't just apply to losing weight. It applies to life in general.
