Busy day all around. Didn't have as much at lunch as I thought I would be (not enough bacon or quac as I expected) and feeling some hungrys now. It could be the need for water as well as I'm why behind the curve there.

though busy, I still go time to get out on the scoot for a couple hours. I a whim I decided to try on a old pair of size 42 jean that have been around mocking me an they FIT! Inspired by that I grabbed my leather vest and it fit better as well, still tighter then I like but comfy enough to ride in. I probably looked like an over stuffed sausage rolling down the road in it but I don't give a flying rat'a a#$! I was on my bike, in my leather, for the first time in about 5 years! Yeah, probably a silly thing for a big tough inked up biker looking dude to get excited about but I couldn't help but thinking 'I'm back mutha [bleepers]!' It's a pretty startling realization just what a hit to self image these past 5 years apparently had.

Time to wind down, guzzle some water, and plan out the next two days meals. Tomorrow will be 8oz of spicy turkey sausage done up with sriracha and garlic with diced cucumber and chopped baby spinach. Tuesday is up in the air maybe tuna something.

Enjoy y'all's evening and get ready to keep doing good things for yourselves!

Good Morning and happy Sunday y'all!

The Troll Scale insists the number is 302.6 this morning. Seems like adopting an OMAD eating strategy has kicked more than a few things into gear and the bod is giving it a thumbs up. Whatever the case may be, it feels natural and fits the rhythms of my life well. It also provides the flexibility (at least in my head) to step 'off script' when desired. OMAD is not going to be for everyone, but for sure looks like its the thing for me.

Fell asleep really early.. not intentionally :P I laid down on the floor to do some stretching in an attempt to ease the tightness and pain in by back a bit and next things I know it's 0430! So stiff this morning from a solid 6 or so hours of sleeping on the floor but obviously needed the Zs cuz overall feeling good!

Eating out again today but have that meal planned out so will be within the parameters of my overall strategy.

IMing with the daughter last night, she reported folks in her dorm commenting about some 'long haired old guy in the parking lot, jamming hick-hop (country rap), dancing and singing like a crazy person". We both got a good laugh from that. It's feeling good to be feeling more and more like me again.

Stay focused on what you are trying to accomplish in this battle we are fighting together. Do your very best to make decisions that bring you closer to your goal. More importantly, enjoy this beautiful Sunday!

Long day behind the wheel done. Car has a FIRM sports oriented suspension and beats up my back nearly as much as my bike does. You feel EVERYTHING.

The ribeye was amazingly good, grilled to a perfect med. rare and paired with salad and some mayo mixed with tabasco to serve as a dipping sauce for both steak and salad. In the range of 1300-1400 cals consumed in my meal for the day.

My son and I get into odd discussions on topics one wouldn't expect from a 15 year old. On the trip out he made some insightful observations with got me thinking on the use of words.

Words have power. Words we use in relation to ourselves or as 'self talk' have the most power of all. Word like "I can't possibly.." are obviously limiting and self defeating. But other word used like 'I hope I can.." or "With luck I will be able to..." while seemingly position or at least neutral can be equally self defeating. These words have the connotation that one cannot succeed without some random outside force lending a hand. They inadvertently strip away the idea that one has 100% control of their life. This also brings in the idea of accountability into the picture for if one is not in 100% control they are not 100% accountable for the outcome of actions taken... either positive or negative. If one is not 100% accountable for an outcome how can one truly celebrate a positive or, more importantly, honestly face a negative and make real changes.

This line of reasoning enters the world we occupy here on FS because, IMLTHO, mindfulness, POSITIVE reinforcement, and accountability are a HUGE part of any success either short or long.

Perhaps examine the thoughts above on how they might related to your own self talk. If they resonate in some way, look to replace "I hope.." and "With luck.." with something like "I will strive to.." or "I will do my best.." which, to me, acknowledges and reinforces the idea that one is 100% in control.

Anyway, sorry for the rambling, probably overly deep thoughts. An expression of my continual rummaging around my own head, opening those boxes in the corners I would rather not open. ( I put them there for a reason after all). It's what happens when stuck behind the wheel for 8 hours. :D

I hope everyone has had an enjoyable day. Keep to your plans/strategies and continue to strive toward where ever you want to be.

304.6... Ok, I can't seem to believe that number this morning. Troll scale actually gave two readings below that (303) but as I say, I can't bring myself to believe it so recording the highest it said. I'm actually in sight of cracking that damn 300 mark.

I was about to say 'soon' there, but I find for myself, putting goals in the context of time just winds up frustrating me due to the perceived under-performance should I miss the 'deadline'. So I have been making myself remove thoughts of dates, schedule, and other time related targets from my self talk/thought in this process. I see it as removing one more potential land mine between myself and my goal.

Making a 4 hour drive out to my daughter's college to pick up a load of stuff from her dorm room. The term is ending soon and she will be back home for the summer. She has to vacate the dorm next Wed. making this trip so Wed. will be less chaotic. My son and I will be having lunch out there with her before packing things. Campus is in a small town but they have an excellent steak house I've been told so I see a 12oz rib eye with a salad and steamed broccoli in my future today. Going to be a higher cal intake day (around 1500-1600) but.. RIB EYE!!!

Anyway, got up late and got to get on the road NOW! (the rib eye... and oh yeah my daughter... awaits!) Good out and enjoy the fine saturday. Stay mindfull of what you are doing but don't let that get in the way of enjoying life!

Day and week is done! My meal today was a simple (as always) chicken and spinach mix (with mayo and MCT oil) which i warmed up in the office microwave to wilt the spinach just a bit to give it that sauteed texture. I seasoned it with sriracha sauce, garlic and ginger shooting to something in the direction of a spicy tuna. I make my next days meal in the evening in the 'no food no call' phase of my IF schedule. I am so used to preparing meals by the seat of my pants (recipes? we don't need no stinking recipes!) and tasting as I go that I'm finding it a challenge to get things seasoned right since i'm not allowing myself to taste especially with something I've never used before (the sriracha). So while the meal was tasty it did not live up to my expectations. Well next time I'll double the sriracha at least and see where it goes.

Meal was just under 900 cals with 7.5 carbs so a good compensation for indulging a bit yesterday.

Time to relax on the porch for a while, enjoy a cigar and guzzle some water (yeah, I'm behind the curve there again... as usual). I hope y'all are winding down for a good weekend. Its going to be gloriously warm and sunny here in the desert southwest so a good amount of saddle time on the scoot is in the future this weekend.

One more very important thing... to any and all fellow Star Wars nerds out there in FS land.. MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU!!!! [fade to black and roll credits]
