Had a cup of coffee this morning, first time since January 3rd. I had hot chocolate every day since then but I have no milk in the house this morning. I messed up last high so went over on my calorie and carb goals. I usually have my last meal of the day around noon - 2pm. Yesterday I had a small portion of left over roast at 10:30am. I had 5 saltine crackers A little later and that was supposed to be it for the day. But I got so hungry and around 6pm I saw the sleeve of crackers on the counter and ate the rest of them, I'm guessing on how many. Then I put butter on 3 of them! Hope to do better today. There is still a half a box of saltines in the house. I need to stay away from them! Working on another chronic problem I have, drinking enough water. I've been heating up glasses of water which I find easier to drink.

I walked Bobby yesterday, A short walk of about 3000 steps. Did 4000 steps on the walk the day before. Just can't walk too far with my knee issue. Yesterday was so windy and we got rain on and off most of the day. Today I need to go for a knee X-Ray and pick up my new glasses. The optometrist office told me the glasses were ready about 2 weeks ago but I just haven't felt like driving the half hour to pick them up

Trying to eat a bland diet for a couple days. Saltine crackers, chicken broth, milk. I believe my body it protesting all the salads and raw vegetables I've been eating lately. Feeling better today but will wait a few days and have more cooked vegetables with a rare salad.

I was able to go back in my FS history so I could see what I was doing when I lost 53 pounds. From August 1,2017 through March 24, 2018 - 7 months I lost 53 pounds. I was new to FS and didn't it food on days I ate off plan. I remember having potato chips and dip days every 2 or 3 weeks! I didn't weigh on the first of the month all the time, but I came up with this history:

Aug 2017 10.4 pounds average 895 calories, 44.59 fat grams, 85.35 carbs
Sept 2017. 10.2 pounds
Oct 2017. 2.4 pounds
Nov 2017. 12.8 pounds
Dec 2017. 3.8 pounds
Jan 2018 5.8 pounds
Feb 2018. 3.6 pounds
March 2018. 4.0 pounds
Total pounds. 53.0

Average calories ranged from 754 to 895
Average protein grams 32.5 to 45.91, usually around 40
Average carbs 70.06 to 100.77
Average fat grams 26.75 to 44.59

I'd be thrilled with those numbers now but aim for higher protein. People will say calories are way too low but I was doing IF just having one main meal, often lots of vegetables in a stir fry. Minimal processed foods. I negotiated with my doctor to allow me 1/4 bagel or 1/2 to slice of bread with hot chocolate. I remember making smoothies a couple times a month with triple berry blend from costco, adding in almond milk, maybe pineapple or orange juice and a little honey. I mixed a can of tuna often with mashed up avocado and chopped nuts and wrapped in lettuce. Was really eating less processed food. I also started walking and after a month or so averaged at least 5 miles a day and then tried to do more walking 10 miles in my neighborhood quite a few times. Things fell apart when allergy season started and I couldn't walk so much, plus it get too hot to walk in the summer. And Girl Scout cookies really did me in. Took over a year, maybe 2 but I gained it all back. Now I've got knee issues and am lucky if I can walk to the corner!

I've been so close to my interim goal of 178 for so long! Just can't get there so I can set the next goal.

I have an appointment for an MRI next Wednesday ordered by my primary care doctor. Have an appointment with the orthopedist on the 19th and I need to go get an X-Ray ordered by the orthopedist. Now my knee seems almost normal. I may cancel the MRI and see what the orthopedist says first. I called their office twice yesterday and was told I'm dealing with 2 different providers and once I go with the specialist he usually decides what needs to be done. It's strange, I've been dealing with the knee issue for over 2 months, had to limp the first 2 weeks when my knee couldn't support my weight, got throbbing knee pain at times as well as what appeared to be fluid on the knee. Night before last I had pain, but not throbbing pain but still enough to take the magic pill, Ibuprofen. Today I feel fine so far. I am going to take Bobby for a walk and see how I feel after that. I have to remind myself that my primary care doctor told me the knee problem would probably get better after 5 or 6 weeks, which is right now.

I've been wanting hot chocolate, made with fat free milk, Ghirardelli hot mocha mix and miniature marshmallows. After that I will see what I can have to stay under 100 grams of carb. Probably chicken and a salad mix.
