Hello All:
Quick update on Joseph's bread. It does look like they have another product that doesn't have all of the preservatives and chemical ingredients. This product is called: Free from:- Stupid title but I have pic enclosed.

Hello all:
Well, I think I have to try this, I thought avocados were for guacamole! So simple with just avocado, onion, tomato, cheese and spice. A ten minute cook.
Here is the website recipe:
https://www.thehungrytravelerblog.com/baked-avocado/
And, I apologize if this appears twice but I don't see it in my posts. As part of my bread search I tried Josephs flax, oat bran, and whole wheat pita. It is 80 cal & 7-8 net carbs. I quartered it and fried in garlic, olive oil and butter until warm and slightly toasty. They were great!
I know it is a little high in carbs but for those days were you have to have that mouth feel of bread , this works. The downside is that it does have some ingredients for preservation etc that look like chemicals from a lab but hey I won't eat it everyday.

All:
Has anyone tried a low carb red pepper sauce. Apparently, there are versions of a Serbian dish called Ajvar. You can make it with roasted peppers and eggplant and other spices. I am wondering if there is a good recipe that uses red peppers in a jar - it takes a lot of time to heat up red peppers and skin them. Plus what does eggplant really offer to the recipe - can I skip that.
In advance, thanks

Hello all:
Good dinner this evening consisted of 4 oz of marinated london broil with sauteed mushrooms, 3 oz broccoli with butter and cauliflower rice cooked in olive oil, butter, coconut oil, oregano with a hint of hot paprika.
Specs: 407 calories and 6 net carbs.

Hi All:
Slowly but surely. HAHA, initially I typed surly - well that's true too.
Anyway, I have a bread report: I toasted a slice of the ThinSlim Zero Carb rye bread to have with my fried eggs. Good: it does brown and absorbs butter and it feels like toast. Bad: It tastes like cardboard, so you can add flavored butter or low sugar jam to it and it helps. All in all, it is doable but don't think this will taste like toast.
Next up is Nature's Own No Sugar Added bread and I will report how that goes.
Stay healthy
Bob
