I am a 60 years old woman. Been married to my childhood sweetheart for 43 years this July (2014). Have two daughters and five grandchildren. I have retired from my job in July (2014) and started the next adventure of my life. Part of moving on is confronting the diagnosis of prediabetic (Oct 2013). I have struggled with the weight since 1990 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 35. Family history of heart disease and diabetes means I need to get this figured out. I have known for a long time that a calorie is not a calorie for me. If I eat pasta I gain weight if I eat steak my weight drops. Therefore I am eating LCHF to see if that works for me.
