Finally home and feeling stuffed. My OMAD day turned into a 16:8 day when I stopped by a friend's place and got served pan fried catfish (lightly breaded with crumbled pretzel), roasted green beans and corn and a glass of a very nice red wine (which surprisingly paired well with the catfish). Brought my daily intake up to the 1350-1450 cal range. More than I like and that combined with the corn, green beans, and breading (all things I normally avoid) is what is making me feel stuffed (bloated) and blah. No regrets though, I accepted the meal knowing the probable results because I knew it would be damn yummy. I was not disappointed. I'll be back to OMAD tomorrow and will be cutting back that meal somewhat to compensate.
I was horrible on my water intake today so working on knocking back a couple liters tonight as I work. Since I have been paying closer attention to hydration, I am noticing the physical feeling that tells me I'm on the dehydrated side of things. I find it interesting to have that awareness, like with real hunger, develop.
Hope y'all are having a good evening. Relax, keep the faith, and continue doing the things that move you closer to your goals!

Sounds like you had a great evening worth the indulgence. You are really doing well o n your weight loss! What is OMAD? I need to drink more water too. I drink too much diet coke so i made a deal with myself...1 litre water if I want my 16 oz diet coke. 🙄

What’s OMAD? and I adore the buttery taste of catfish. Homemade fried fish is my love language- just like dad used to make.

That sounds like a wonderful meal and of course it's always nice to spend time with friends. We had a similar dinner ourselves. Nothing breaded, but fish and green beans were on the menu.👍I understand how hard it is to get the water in, but it's great that you are aware when you need to hydrate.

Shelly, Kay... OMAD is short for One Meal A Day. A variation of intermittent fasting style of eating. All the days cals consumed in one meal. IF in general and OMAD in particular are seeming to fit well with the rhythms of me bod and life. Yes keeping to plan is important, but stepping out side of it from time to time is equally important. For me I simply keep as best as I can to the overall concepts I'm adopting and focus on portion control as I do. kay and Becca.. I'm not the biggest fan of fresh water fish, with the exception of catfish. I do loves me some catfish! Tonight gave me the idea to try something similar with with crushed up port rinds for the 'breading', spice with cayenne, paprika, garlic and fried with some coconut or mct oil. Marsha... I am doing just that, downed the 1.5 liters and some more :D :D
