Remember, the SCALE LIES. This is my eighth week staying the course eating within my RDI and exercising every day at least 30 minutes or more. I drink at least a gallon of water daily. The scale lies - it seems stuck. I know this is just the beginning of a much longer process, and then a lifetime of maintenance. In the past, I have gotten frustrated. I refuse to listen to the scale!

Stick with it, it'll work! :) something I keep telling myself is that you can't control the numbers on the scale, you can only control if you stay on plan. It's will catch up on the scale.

Thanks! I just cannot give up before the "miracle" happens.

So true!! Recently I added up my total calorie deficit for 4 weeks, & I was excited that my scale roughly kept pace... 35,000 cal deficit, 10 pounds gone... despite the fact that I kept going up and down on the scale that whole time. It was a lot like when you are stuck in traffic in the slow lane and everyone else in the lane next to you seems to be whizzing by. There are actually psychological studies that show people perceive they are more delayed than they actually are when they see that faster lane. I guess I draw that comparison because my weight loss feels so darned SLOW!!! But it is only when I look at it in a chunk of weeks or months that it feels faster, and I can put my finger on the calendar and say "hey, I will get to my goal by November!"

Remember RDI's are guidelines and you may need to decrease it some if you are not losing. They don't take in to account your metabolism. Protein and high fiber foods digest more slowly and keep you fuller longer. They also help lose fat. Your chart looks great by the way.

Whenever the scale stops moving I always yank out the measuring tape. I've had weeks in the past where my loss couldn't be measured in lbs but in inches. Either one is a win in my book. Maybe a change of exercise? Something you've never done before to switch it up :)

Keep it up! It is the long haul that is the most important, not the 1 week the scale gets a little stuck. You can do it! I had that happen just the week before. No loss and then the following week 3#. So it adds up. Don;t understand it fully, but it does!
