Hey buddies! Mid week update, I am SORE!
I decided to get my kettle bell workout out of the way yesterday morning. (one of my goals for this week) I used a thirty minute 'beginners' workout that I found on youtube as I haven't used the weights in quite some time. Needless to say, it worked. Today going from standing to sitting or vice versa is very... uncomfortable. I decided to tough it out and get my gym session in anyway and I'm glad I did. I started on resistance four, taking it easy on myself but ended on resistance six. Didn't help with the soreness though :). Tomorrow is an off day, and I think I will keep it that way. Maybe I'll sneak in a walk.
Every month I record my weight and measurements in a little notepad I keep in the bathroom to remind me of my progress. I only lost six pounds last month but still the inches are impressive.
Since January 4th I am down:
21.4 pounds
3 inches on my waist
and...
3.5 inches on my hips
I also keep photographic evidence of my progress but I'm not ready to share that yet lol. Looking at the numbers helps keep the motivation going, even if the scale doesn't always cooperate. On my way to meeting those goals!
Today is an exceptionally busy day. I have to go to the hospital and get my assignment and I've been called in to work this evening. This time at home now is all I'll get until late tonight. Time to start planning my meals so I can get packing.
Have a great day buddies!

Only 6 pounds? I would say "6 lbs! Hooray!" That sounds very realistic & healthy.

You are probably gaining muscle and trimming and toning your figure. The inches you want is the best reward of all.

Good for you on all of your success! It can sometimes be tough, but that's is what you are!

That's brilliant, Yolanda. As Lifesatrip says, 6lb in a month sounds about right, especially if you're exercising a fair bit. It sounds like time to get the reassurance from the tape-measure not the scales (although I'd go along with whichever says "well done" the most!) :)

On your cue I picked up my bells last night. I worked them into my tabata routine. Yes: Ouch :)
