Yesterday's chuck roast proved to me I need to stick to a low fat diet just like the doctor said. I thought I did okay as far as the portions. I had roast with potatoes, carrots and gravy for 2 meals. I usually don't eat after 2pm. I think I had the 2nd portion between 1-2pm. Around 5 I felt pain on my right side under the ribcage. It was a brief pain but the area was tender all night. I'm fine now. Do you ever Google symptoms? Not a good idea, I found explanations from indigestion to Pancreatitis and more. I had my gallbladder removed 1 1/2 years ago and eating a meal like I did yesterday would cause a gallbladder "attack". This wasn't like that pain which lasted hours and didn't improve when laying down. But it still worried me and I will eat leftovers in tiny portions after freezing for later.

Woke up with knee pain again this morning. Worse than usual. I haven't taken Ibuprofen for 2 days. I had been thinking I'm taking it too much. My doctor first prescribed for leg, hip and lower back pain a year ago and I keep refilling. Although the prescription says to take 3 times a day as needed I was only taking once, at night. But with the knee I need it all day and night. I will take a pill this morning. My doctor said if the pain continues I could get a cortisone shot. I may do that so I can start walking again.

Fritzy, when I injured my knee I went to an orthodontist who specialized in sports medicine. I'm not very impressed with your doctor's diagnosis and indifference to your pain. If it were me, I'd find another doctor. 💜💛💚

Well, actually, I went to an orthopedist (thank you autocorrect), orthodontists really aren't very interested in knee pain. Hahaha!

Thanks Shir! I love my doctor, I've been going to him for about 10 years. I saw him and before that, the doctor that was covering for him for 2 weeks. Both examined the knee, maneuvering it all over. There's no swelling, it's not red, and nothing the doctors did caused any pain. Both said to stay off my feet as much as possible and it will get better. My doctor said 5 more weeks. He would have given me a cortisone shot when I saw him. I wanted to wait because I just thought whatever it was, it would go away. As far as I can tell there was no reason to just wake up one day not being to put weight on the knee. That part stopped totally right after seeing my doctor (maybe he twisted something back in place). So I am not limping anymore. I did find someplace online that said some kind of knee problem resolves in about 6 weeks. But I'm going to see him next week and see if he can explain why this is happening and ask about a specialist.
