Had a fantastic day yesterday. We pulled up the carpet from our bedroom and installed laminated flooring. DH did 99% of the work but I am tired anyway - LOL.
As for WOE - had 2 good days in a row. Am hoping today will make it 3.

Alright Buffy!! Keep it up, you can do this!! Here is also to healthier sleeping without the carpet!! It's amazing what is under those carpets!! I used to love carpets, said I would never have wood floors. My main floor is wood and vinyl in the kitchen; I had a large area rug in the living room for awhile after I moved in and could not believe what was under it when I rolled it up after just a few months. It's no longer there. I love the warmth and look of carpet but not the hidden sifted through dirt, it's no wonder they say carpet is awful for allergies.

Wholefoodnut - I couldn't agree more about the carpet. We've been replacing our floors one room at at time.

I do have indoor outdoor type carpet in my basement over the concrete with no paddings. It's staying, the concrete is too cold to spend hours standing quilting on in the winter. It doesn't get the normal traffic my main floor does, though I hate to see what's lurking underneath.

We just had new carpet put in our bedroom and dressing room and a guest room. LOL! It looks great but I didn't want it. The hubs wanted it because he likes the softness under his feet. He sees the dirt the dogs bring in plus the dirt WE bring in just from being out in the yard, but this is what he works hard for ... so this is what we have. I am trying to take better care of the carpet ... frequent vaccuuming. I have dust allergies and this is the worst thing for me ... but ah ... well. I love the laminate flooring. Easy to maintain.
