Yo-yo'ing back down...somewhat - fasting blood sugar: 7.5 mmol/L

Eventually it will even out again....I hope.

(11pm)
So looking at my Daily numbers for what I've eaten today:
Fat 91.61g, Protein 78.74g, Sugar 7.51g, Carbs 29.30g, Net Carbs 18.10g*
*I have always used net carbs in my calculations rather than total carbs.

or calorie breakdown is:

Fat 66% RDI
Protein 25% RDI
Carb 9% RDI (I am assuming this is based off of total carb)

Today has been an experiment in that I made a double batch of Chaffles. Blueberry Chaffles (2) for lunch and then Chaffles (2) became my bread for my burger at dinner. Tomorrow we will see if it helps with my fasting blood sugar. And tomorrow will also tell me if I need to take my Gluten Cutter pills (helps digest grains & Dairy) the next time I make this for a day because I don't buy Lactose-Free cheese due to how expensive it is and I also don't like the taste of it.

I went Mediterranean last fall. My glucose levels dropped almost immediately. I went from high teens and low twenties to high fives, sixes and low sevens. I now no longer need my nightly insulin, no more oral drugs either. 🙂 I do still take my once a week Ozempic injection. If you suffer from high sugar levels, it might be worth a look for you, too! The key is whole foods, lots of fresh fruits and veggies, and more chicken and fish than beef. I still count my calories and am slowly losing.

Well done kittikatpat!! For me it was my high fast level of 9.4 mmol/L from 9-ish months ago that had my Dr. first putting me on Metformin (got really sick on it) and then put on Janumet. Before that I was doing relatively okay with food and exercise for 12 years. But, in recent years I was also diagnosed with MAFLD - Metabolic Associated Fatty Liver Disease (also known as NAFLD) and I still have not been able to have my undiagnosed IBS figured out as in relation to diabetes/MAFLD or is in fact IBS. Not to be a TMI but liquid bowel movements on avg 15 times a day is a (pardon the pun) pain in my ass to go thru. That has been going on much longer than the MAFLD. I've figured out so far that gluten, wheat flour & rice flour, are my biggest instigators. But now as I try new foods, I run the risk of setting off my fasting blood sugar. So yeah, I sometimes grumble in my posts about the yo-yo'ing but hey, at least I'm keeping it real ;) I'm honestly thinking of try to go as close as I can to carnivore for a few weeks and see if that will settle down my system and then re-introduce my regular foods one at a time and see what happens. But I won't try that until after my Endocrinologist app't March 3rd.
