Happy Weekend!! 🌷😊

I'm wonderin how many of us woke up hurtin with back pain this morning (like me😣)? It can be so frustrating to want to get 'fit' when we can barely get around the house!

I found these simple weight bearing exercises & tips that I'm gonna start to incorporate into my daily routine. I think I'll screen shot the first graphic and use it for my laptop screen saver and every time I pass by the screen, I'll choose one of the exercises to do 10 reps. It's not much, but I'm hopin that if I'm consistent, I will start to feel a difference.

At my age, with all my chronic disease, I need to find ways to 'move' more (safely) throughout the day. Maybe this will help.....

At any rate, it's interesting information, right? 🤷‍♀️😎

🌷💙🌷

Nice chart and most of the exercises look easy enough. I remembered to do some stretches for my sciatic nerve pain this morning.

Very nice tips. Sorry about your pain this morning. Hope it gets better. We do use a chair in yoga sometimes and it is amazing how many great things you can do using a chair. I like the different stretches. I also like just laying on the floor on the back with legs on the chair seat. Resting lower back flat, at least for me, is so helpful for the back

It’s not even a matter of age, unfortunately. I’ve been osteopenic for a decade and I’m under 40. These exercises are legit. But it’s a crazy journey with chronic hip pain. I’m personally looking forward to seeing a specialist finally next week! These are some things PT has been doing with me in the past.

@Fritzy...WTG remembering to stretch! Some days I can only do a stretching routine of exercises but it helps with the pain & stiffness (just doesn't burn many calories!!)

@liv001...g'mornin 🌞 I often hold onto something when I'm exercising kuz my balance isn't that great (except for Letty's Zoom class where I don't wanna look too 'lame'😉) Some days are better than others, right?😊💙

@Kay...I'm very sorry to hear that you are dealing with this at such an early age. I, too, have a long history of spine & hip problems. Rheumatologist has helped a bunch to define the conditions and I take biologics to help with inflammation & other autoimmune responses. Hang in there dear girl! We just have to be a little more creative than others, to find ways to get steps in and burn more calories...but we CAN do it!!💪🚶‍♀️💙

Crystal think you should be an inspirational teacher. I appreciate your validation. My dad had lupus so I’m just beginning on the journey for auto immune diagnosis. I hope that’s not involved but I love your attitude and so if it is I think I will have a positive outlook like you. Be well and I will continue following your journey 🙋🏼‍♀️

Crystal, the visuals are always welcome addition. Teaches me something new, or reinforces something I already know. Or just brings a smile. Of course there's always Garfield naming the scale! I still laugh every morning :-)

Thanks for posting this Crystal. Sorry you have back pain this morning. It's nice to see the exercises in the upper chart and a good reminder for me to begin utilizing them again. They're so simple and can be done at home or work. I found adapting the wall push up in the second chart to do leg lunges was helpful for me when I had plantar fasciitis. I could stretch my tight calf muscles by doing wall lunges. Not only did it help loosen my tight calf muscles but to gave a stretch to my tightened foot arch as well. At that time I couldn't lift more than five pounds and could no longer go for walks. I'm thankful it healed but it took between a year and a half and two years and felt so frustrating at the time. Hope your back pain passes and you can enjoy the rest of your day. You're a sweetheart for posting the charts despite not feeling well :)

Haven’t had that issue yet— many people suffer from those L4—L5 issues. Incomplete spine evolution from way back when man started standing upright. Eventually we will get there. Sure is taking a long time though. Another of many issues that can be aggravated by obesity.

Your back’s best friend is core abdominal muscle strength.

@losingtowin...I feel bad for whining about my pain (I honestly wasn't trying to get sympathy!) but since it was worse than usual, it 'prompted' me to highlight these exercises today. I'm taking a 'rest day' and headin for the heatin pad♨ Thank you for your kindness my friend💙🤗
