I'm nuts

i like change, but recently i am changing way too fast, and it feels like spinning out of controle, but somehow i find myself still standing firm on my two feet.

Saturday the tour de france starts. For those of you who just hatched, the tour the france is the biggest cycle match in the world, lasting for three weeks, and cycling a "little" tour around france for about 3500 km.
In my less active days (like, all my life basically) i would have sat in front of the telly with bags of chips, cheese and beer, rooting on the dutch cyclists...

This time will be different!

I got myself an indoor bike and i am going to start cycling in front of my telly, the moment the race starts, and i plan to finish with the first person in the tour that finishes. You all wanted to see me take on a challenge???
Is this challenge enough for you?

have a nice day, and i'll keep you posted of my wins and failures...
maud.

I had a spinning class that had a huge tv (and lots of big fans going) and we watched the Tour De France. we mimicked each climb with increasing the resistance and the flat places we could lower the resistance. It was fun & nice to see the countryside.Pedaling, sitting & standing and sweating with the race was a great insight into how much the cyclist desire to win! Incredible.

Go Maud! Set it up so the bike runs a generator that powers the TV! (And you're right. You are nuts.)

Remember, good crazy, bad crazy. Your definitely GOOD CRAZY. I think this is great idea. You could start a whole new exercise craze and competition with this idea. I can already imagine gyms across the world having Tour de France competitions with surround screens.

I have a friend that does that. He logs his cycles in the strava and tries to cycle the full 3500 with them

Yep I had a weirdo (but athletic - and in shape!) friend who perched his bike trainer in front of the TV, too!

I'll be on my indoor rollers watching and riding with or without the challenge. I'll only be riding an hour or two to the pros 3-5.

can't you make the challenge jparlett, since you only cycle for 2 hours, you have more time for the maintenance (*lol*)
