jmb3450's Journal, 07 May 14

Yesterday evening we took meals to a couple families from church who needed them....rotisserie chicken from the grocery store, veggies, and mashed potatoes that my wife made. The potatoes had sour cream and butter in them, looked so good that I couldn't keep myself from eating some...tasted wonderful too!! I logged a cup of them into my food diary but honestly I know I ate more than that. At lunch a co-worker offered me a grilled chicken thigh from KFC and the green bean side, which I ate. So I was concerned that my weigh in this morning wouldn't be good. but I lost another pound.

It's still the beginning of my weight loss journey, just over a week, and I realize pounds are coming off easier now than they will later on. But it just feels good to know I ate those things and still lost weight. What I'm doing is working for me and I really needed it to. No mashed potatoes on the menu for today either.

Good job on the loss, keep in mind you should really log as close to or if not exactly what you ate, so you can keep track of it and be able to look back on it later on. Keep up the great work you are doing.

Well...it's hard to get an accurate measurement when I'm going from pot to mouth with a spatula! :) Old habits can be hard to kill.
