This morning when I woke up, I was in a bit of a funk. I was worrying that my weigh in this Sunday might prove disappointing as last week's did (no loss). I was hurting more than usual, with my leg throbbing (related to spinal issues). I was trying not to be discouraged over the increased pain as I attempt to become more active. I have been through this cycle before. I do listen to my body to some degree and don't do anything too extreme, but I know from past experience that I still need to get out there and at least try to walk. If I just take to my bed, I end up sore in other parts of my body as well as becoming depressed over my weight loss journey.

I headed off to work, worried about the errands that I needed to run after work. I have come to dread the trip to my company's headquarters every two weeks. It is such a long drive from my client's home to the office. They don't allow us to fax or mail our paperwork due to confidentiality issues. Arrggg!!

I had to be home in time to neaten the house for a showing and then one of my silly dogs hurt his paw outside and was bleeding. I really didn't need that! I got the wound under control, finished my cleaning and then took off to the park with the dogs. Surprisingly, the boo-boo didn't seem to be bothering my dog, so we took off for a nice hike along the creek (which is running swiftly with snow melt and heavy rains that followed the snow storm). It was so peaceful and the temperature was mild. I felt SOOO much better about things after our walk.

So, tonight I'm feeling much better about things. I made two appts. that I am looking forward to (eye doctor for new glasses-4 years overdue, and a massage that my daughter gave me as a birthday gift). Although my husband and I don't have any specific plans for Valentine's Day, I am still looking forward to being at home at the same time tomorrow afternoon/evening. He works such variable hours that I don't take that for granted any more.

Off to watch some of the Olympics.

Hope your pain gets better.Your beautiful creek story gave me an idea of walking along my local creek.I just wish it was any where near 50 degrees.I will keep it in the back of my mind til spring.Have a lovely Valentines Day.
