gilliansings's Journal, 12 Feb 14

This will show as being an entry for Wed, Feb. 12th, but in my neck-of-the-woods it is Tuesday night.

I had a pretty good day. I watched "Vertical Limit" with my client and was awed by the scenery (most of the movie takes place on K2 in Pakistan).

While it isn't the worst thing I could have eaten, today I had my first piece of bread in forever and WHITE bread at that. I toasted it, put Smart Balance spread on it, and just a smidge of this delicious local honey that I bought at an Apple Festival at Portland Nursery. OMG, I don't think anything has ever tasted SOOOO good.

Enough about that, the rest of my food intake was fine and I took a nice half-hour walk in the rain after work.

Still no weight loss, but since I'm not willing to do any extreme low-carb diets, I can live with slow and steady (which I know will happen eventually). Still drinking lots and lots of water (which is my norm, but wow, was I ever tired of using the bathroom today!)

Have a great day everyone! (I'll get started on that new day after I sleep, lol)

Slow and steady will work - all we need is patience. BTW - I eat around 50 (net) carbs a day and still lose weight, but give me white bread and I'll gain overnight. It seems to be such an individual thing. I'm sure you'll find the perfect combination for you.
