TXSnowman's Journal, 15 Jan 14

Well, things seem to have hit their stride. After dropping 7 pounds in 6 days, I had a one day bump up of 4 pounds. It seems that was just a little water weight, because it all came back off the next day and weight has held steady between 191 & 192. The good news has been the body fat percentage has been inching downward every day. I was holding steady at 17.5%, however, since I started the 16/8 IF this past week, and doing all of my workouts in a fasted state, my body fat has dropped a bit every day and tonight stands at 16.6%. This means that while my weight held steady the past 4 days, I've had a loss of 1 1/2 lbs of fat and a gain of nearly 3 lbs of muscle (working out 3 - 4 times per day seems to be paying off...lol).

Hey Rob. Nope, I met 4 times per day. I've been walking or hiking 10 - 15 miles per day, and then doing at least one other exercise like the stairmaster or the WiiFit Plus in the evening. Since I've had to start being in the office every day, I had to switch it up. So now, on Mon, Wed, & Friday, I do upper body weight lifting for an hour as soon as I get up, and then do about 45 min on the Wii Fit Plus. On Tues & Thursday, my morning consists of 45 min on the stairmaster and then 45 min on the WiiFit Plus. Most days, I ride my bike for 10 miles at lunch. In the evening, I do 40 - 45 min of core workout and something else (treadmill for an hour or two at 3.2 mph, walking outside, Wii Fit Plus, just something to work out another muscle group). The less I weigh, the more I have to do to keep up the calorie deficit. Plus I'm trying to take in more protein, so I'm eating more. I used to burn 4,000 cals per day with little exercise. Now I have to work out a bunch to burn 3,000 per day. For December and January to date I'm averaging 1,100 calories taken in, and 3,240 calories burned.

WOW,what amazing workouts & results!WTG :D I only wish I had that much time in the day to workout.....Im going to look over my days & see where I can possibly fit in more. Is this routine a keeper for you or will you do less when you reach your goals?

It evolves depending on my situation. At first, I was just trying to "lose weight". Now, I'm trying to lose body fat, build muscle and tone my body. Now, I'm working long hours, so I fit in different exercises at different times of the day. I have a couple of 5k's coming up in late spring, so I'll start running in February to train for that. Were hiking the Grand Canyon in mid June, so I'll be training for that as much as I can. By mixing things up, it stays fresh & interesting. I hope that in this way, I won't get board, lose interest and backslide.
