Three cups of veggie-Lentil chili < 300 cals - OR - One Keto friendly Almond biscuit for over a hundred calories more. This is why I stopped making Almond Flour biscuits.

Sometimes the real numbers don't line up with our real intentions. It's all about choices. Why trade reduced carbs for increased calories?

So right John10251. I'm learning the same thing as I go, day by day. How much bang can I get for my calories? :0)0

@John, exactly. Why am I trading 60 gm of healthy complex carbs (not even sugar) and under 300 cals for 35 gm of fat and 100 more cals. Doesn't make much sense.

That almond flour is tricky indeed. I often wonder 'how' it all works together to get that total. And it doesn't work in gravy at all. I made some chocolate waffles one night with it - sure, lower carbs but higher cals. It's deciding what matters most. And ANYday, almond or regular flour, will always be higher than a bowl of soup. But SOMEdays, it's the biscuit that is desired. I work to train my mind (and mouth) to be content with the better choices BUT have found on SOME days, to eat things other than what I desire -because I'm just trying to make better choices - results in more intake than if I'd just had the thing I wanted in the first place.
