You can do this!

Thanks for the support! Mira and Shirfleur - I am starting over. I haven't entered my weight on this site for many months so the previous weight hasn't been the correct weight for awhile. I planned on entering my correct weight on September 1st and had hoped I'd be the same weight that was posted, but was 5 pounds short of making that goal. I started trying hard on June 1st, but the weight loss has been slow - only 8-10 pounds in 2 months. Maybe actually having the real weight number to work from will make me more aware and I'll do better.

8 to 10 in two months sounds really good to me!!! Did you say you were competitive!!?? 😁 😁 Yeah, I think you must be. 👍💕 You'll will win this fight!

8-10 lbs in 2 months is actually a reasonable pace of loss. That's 50-60 lbs in a year if you can keep it up. That would be amazing, right? You can do it!

Thanks Melissa and Erika - I guess I'm a little disappointed with the weight loss so far because typically I lose at least 10 pounds the first month when I am really sticking to a diet. A couple years ago I lost 16, then 7 the next month and kept on losing around 7 pounds a month. But I haven't been exercising at all so maybe once I start walking I'll see better results. The only exercise I get is vacuuming or bending down to scoop the litter box! I get more out of breath with the litter box. I am competitive Melissa - maybe I'll join or start a challenge on FS. I've set up a couple in the past (like no Halloween candy during the fall), so I'll think about doing something. Erika - taking a year to do it would take the pressure off and 50-60 pounds would just about do it!

Good luck, Fritzy! I'm glad you posted an honest weight. Once I meet goal at the 1st of the month, I loosen up a little- so I know I'll be up tomorrow. Just stick with it! Slow and steady. Throw in some exercise when you are up to it and it will fall off!! 1 pound a week lost, 52 weeks in a year= awesome!
