I swear my metabolism is broken...last time I did keto the weight was just flying off without me even exercising. Now I am exercising and it's just going SOO slowly. I know, slow and steady wins the race, but I guess I'm just disappointed that I am not seeing the same results that I saw just a few months ago. Part of me thinks that it may be related to this Depo Provera shot that I just got, but I don't know.

I haven't been tracking inches, but I don't think my clothes feel all that different. Plus, the weight loss challenge that I am in tracks pounds and not inches. I need to lose this weight!

Every single time you restart a diet you make it harder on yourself to lose weight cause you have adapted your calorie intake to less calories

The solution is a lifetime diet, you never have to restart if you never stop a diet

Keto works well when you feed your body good fat and protein. It does not look like you are doing that.

Please tell me what good fats and proteins I am missing? I eat mostly chicken, ground turkey, and some beef.

Volume. You are not eating enough

I guess I am frustrated b/c I am eating almost the same exact things before when I lost weight. Rosio19 you may be right, I need to stop starting and restarting and just stick with it.

You're probably right liv001. I have such a poor relationship with food. I am afraid to eat.

But you added exercise and the body will try to conserve energy by slowing down other aspects of it so you have enough energy. There is no magic to weightloss you have to work with your body. It has its own logic

Depo shot absolutely can cause weight gain

I think your current weight loss is very fast. This may be a case of just not meeting "very high expectations" :)

I agree! Your weight loss looks rapid. Just stick with it and the weight will continue to drop off, but it may be slower than you had hoped. Eat sustainably, it's a long term game.

I know exactly what you are feeling. I know they aren't the exact same but I lost a lot of weight doing Atkins years ago and have done Atkins and counted my carbs off and on for years and years now. And each time I start over to lose a little weight it went so much slower and much more differently than when I first started it. This time I am focused on eating and being healthier. I still watch my carbs (force of habit) but I don't stick to a strict set # of daily carbs. As of right now it seems to be working for me but I'm only a month in. Carb counting is the HARDEST thing ever IMO maybe your body just needs a little bit of a change to help it switch gears back to hyper drive for you.. Wishing you the best of luck, and keep up the great work. ❤

Metabolism adjusts after certain amount of time to whatever you feed it. So results will be different each time. BC shot probably made it easier to hold onto the weight. Keep going, don't worry (cortisol fat), be patient, it will come off.

I looked at your profile and it shows you have lost 14 lbs since March 19. That is excellent progress. Try to take a deep breath and give your body some time. The weight will come off. Keep doing whatever you are doing, it is working

it will happen

Depo is appetite inducing, which is the cause of weight gain. You have more cravings to want to eat more often.

My advice is to stay away from weight loss challenges. They do more harm than good in the long term. I don't know anyone who did one and kept the weight off. Slow and steady is best for long term success.

Listen... look at what you have already accomplished ❤️❤️ From someone who was put on 5 mg of progesterone to 10 mg for the past 2 months.. it absolutely put a stop to my squats and made me moody. I probably could have lost more without it because I would have worked at the fitness like I was instead of my WOE only. I’m so thankful that I adapted to my WOE before being put on the hormones. I gave them up about a week and a half 2 weeks ago and I’m getting energy back! You take whatever you need for birth control😊 maybe try the mini pill. You got this!! This post is all to familiar with me. I was put on those extremely high doses to stop my cycle until my hysterectomy.
